Most difficult fight ever?
Similar to the "Most overpowered videogame DBZ character of all time" thread, which final boss would you say gave you the most trouble? It's happened with all of us, and to me it's got to be Kid Buu in Budokai 2. Some definitely came close (Cell in Budokai 1 for example), but to me Kid Buu is just one of those annoying characters in the series that are really hard to beat no matter what game you're playing, and Budokai 2 takes the cake here. Your picks?
**NOTE**: I've changed this thread name from "Most difficult final boss" to "Most difficult fight"

Kid Buu in Shin Budokai 2. Too fast, too strong, too much health, too much Ki.

Oh yeah, I remember that. Definitely one of the hardest bosses in the series as well imo.Doctor. wrote:Kid Buu in Shin Budokai 2. Too fast, too strong, too much health, too much Ki.

I was so pissed when I discovered I had to beat him again to get SSJ4 Goku. I don't remember the rank you had to beat him, but it was a high one, so I spent a lot of time on that fight.Black_Anime_Fan wrote:Oh yeah, I remember that. It had to be Kid Buu, but Cell From Budokai 1 was freaking impossible too!.

Power Weighted Cell Budokai 1.
Kid Buu Budokai 2.
Kid Buu Infinite World (before I knew how to cancel combos).

Re: Most difficult final boss ever
Either Great Ape Vegeta or that one battle you gotta use Mr. Satan against Kid Buu in Tenkaichi 1.
Gotenks in Budokai 3 (In Z3 mode).
Super Saiyan Goku from Super Sonic Warriors 2.
Runner-up: Cell from Budokai 1, I had to ask my mom's boyfriend to beat him the first time and he had a pretty hard time as well.

Re: Most difficult final boss ever
While this isn't 1 boss, but rather the hardest final level in a DBZ game was in Shin Budokai 2: Another Road. I remember you have to fight between at least 15-20 battles and you never recover health from your first battle. So if you have 7 health bars, that's all you got through these battles. There is Kid Buu, Super Buu, Broly, Cooler, and Perfect Cell all flying around on the world map. And I believe they even threw in Janemba... You fight each of them TWICE before they officially die. In some battles, you kinda have to not get hit because the next fight might cost you.
How more insane can DBZ get than that?? lol
That level took me many tries to do. And if Kid Buu ever pulled off combos on me before getting to the rest of the enemies, you may as well quit.

Changed the name of the thread there folks. After reading these posts I figured it'd be a much better idea to discuss the levels/fights that gave you the hardest time instead of just the final bosses.

Re: Most difficult fight ever?
The fight dictated by the story mode within the game itself... I would have to say Budokai 3's Kid Buu on the hardest setting. However, as Tenkaichi 2 allows the player to pretty much create his own battles, I might say Tenkaichi 2 with the following rule-set:
1. Use every blast successfully at least once. That means both blast 1-s, blast 2-s and the ultimate blast. If the character has different forms, then you'll have to use every blast of every form. Now a lot of the characters have the same blasts in different forms... that means the same blast being performed in different forms. Consider a blast successful if you get a full hit on the opponent without him blocking it or evading it.
2. Two options here. (And both are permitted in variation during the match)
-When fighting an opponent, you must fight the entire time against that particular opponent without using offensive teleports in your combos. Exceptions: Banishing attacks and Dragon Tornado combo terminus. This must be done with at least 2 opponents(or all).
-The opponents you wish to teleport against, use a custom Goku and add 1 item. Abandonment essense. Each combo you do must be "loaded" with offensive teleports. Almost to the point of making it difficult to even keep up with your combos.
3. Hardest setting
4. Level 160 opponents(optional)
BUT... prefered at least one level 160 opponent.
5. Choose Base Goku and make him fight against opponents of the series.
-Vegeta Scouter
-Final Form Frieza
-Perfect Form Cell
-Majin Vegeta
-Kid Buu
6. You must transform each character to fit the saga. (SSJ agains Frieza, SSJ2 against Majin Vegeta, and SSJ3 agains Kid Buu)
7. Stage - Dying Namek
8. If G&P is involved, it must be to transition to another combo. No G&Ping for an entire battle!!!
9. Finish with regular L2+X, connect with Triangle, assault for about 2 seconds and end opponent with the linked blast 2.
My settings:
1. Hardest setting
2. levels-
-First 3 opponents had Health +19
-Last 2 opponents had level 160
Completed in October, 2009.

Re: Most difficult fight ever?
I'd probably go with Broly in Attack of The Saiyans. Beating Vegeta presented a pretty good challenge, in my opinion. Then you unlock the Broly fight and his stats are several times greater than Vegeta's. I never did actually beat Broly. Though I kind of lost interest when it became apparent that I would need to do obscene amounts of grinding to even stand a chance.
Re: Most difficult fight ever?
That sounds like one very strange fight- you fight Brolly (I still prefer the ol' fansub spellings, I know) long before Freeza?ErikB wrote:I'd probably go with Broly in Attack of The Saiyans. Oh well, at least it makes for an epic atmosphere.

Yeah, after you beat the game, you can just freely roam around and collect the dragon balls. One of the wishes you can make is to "Fight the Ultimate Opponent" which unlocks a fight with Broly.GS7X7 wrote:That sounds like one very strange fight- you fight Brolly (I still prefer the ol' fansub spellings, I know) long before Freeza?ErikB wrote:I'd probably go with Broly in Attack of The Saiyans. Ah that kinda makes sense. If one canonizes all the movies I think that Brolly is the most powerful character in existence during that time. They REALLY liked him cause they brought him back two more times. (two times too many if you ask me- Movie 10 and especially 11 were pretty horrible and they ruined what Brolly was supposed to be like)

By the time you get to level 99 in Attack of the Saiyans, even Broly is not hard. Though at maybe 70 or 80 he can take you out in 2 hits.ErikB wrote:I'd probably go with Broly in Attack of The Saiyans. Beating Vegeta presented a pretty good challenge, in my opinion. As long as I keep activating After-image technique and Kaioken regularly I can take Broly with just Goku alone, and I've found out teaming up with other allies actually can end up with them getting killed. Wasting turns on Gohan or Piccolo also makes it take longer.

This. Budokai 3 is a close second...but I spent hours upon hours trying to beat Kid Buu in B2. It was especially difficult because I had to fight Freeza and Cell as well.DarkPrince_92 wrote: Kid Buu Budokai 2.

Most crazy and unbeatable is Freeza Soldier VS SSJ3 Goku and Buu in TAG VS.
Jesus Christ, I never beat those two with such useless character.
