Goku : ISFP - The Artist

Dominant Introverted Feeling (Fi) with Auxiliary Extraverted Sensing (Se) and Tertiary Introverted Intuition (Ni)

The guy as an Introverted spends all his childhood alone and years after years training with just himself or 1 or 2 people without the need to “get together”, is reserved, not talky nor touchy-feely or get energy from people. He’s a bold individualist who has STRONG personal values and obeys his emotions and beliefs above logic and concerns as well as standards of society - which he also possesses a strange ignorance about; when these values are critiqued or proven wrong, he usually reacted very strongly (Fi) He loves exploring new things and enjoying the apple of life, taking everything in via his five senses, quick-witted in a very concrete, in-the-moment, earthly way (Se). He appeared to have sensed his death before the Cell Games (Ni - this is why he's not an ESFP) and from the beginning, he always was a free-spirit who hated being boxed in and controlled by anything but his impulses (unused Te)

He displayed traits of a ISFP:

- Laid-back, happy-go-lucky, lazy and disorganized with familial and social things, with a take-things-as-they-come “whatever” attitude.

- Kind and gentle, spontaneous, action-oriented

- Usually hides his thoughts and feelings (he stays silent and gives a half ass “uh…okay” when his wife insists that Gohan will not fight and he has to get a job and when confronting Majin Vegeta and ditches them like shit right after that) for the sake of maintaining harmony and peace.

- Never trying to be the star, the center of the party (although he IS), prefers to sit back and chilling, fairly humble, dislikes conflicts

- incredibly competitive when meet with a challenge and loves fighting just for the sport of it and very serious and focused, even aggressive when the situations call for

- "A calm heart awakened in fury"

- Treats family as companions because he's no more an adult than Gohan :p

The unhealthy traits in an ISFP can also be seen : shameless, clueless, unaware of “appropriate behaviors”, selfish and manipulative, have trouble understanding anything outside his point of view. He observes and absorbs everything around him, feels strongly and thinks clearly, but since he gives zero fucks about logic it seems to others he has nothing in his head.
The ISFP is the most in touch with both themselves and the world for they gives all into their impulses and feelings, but because they are so physically, emotionally and spiritually responsive, so ONE with their surroundings, as well as have little concern for “boundaries”, they would most likely of all the types to innocently fall into dark, twisted and abnormal territory. See in the fight with Vegeta and also in Cell Games

Random most accurate descriptions :

"ISFPs are quishy little darlings you might want to keep in your pocket, but please don’t or they will become forlorn. they notice everything, and it’s unnerving.”

"When I think of ISFPs I see an image of a glass of clear water with a drop of floral scent thrown in, sitting on a white table with mother nature's wild mountains as a backdrop on a windy afternoon."

"ISFPs are the quiet, seemingly harmless introverts who like to fight dragons on their days off. They’re humble badasses who tend to be really attractive for some reason. Like it’s weird, all the ISFPs I’ve ever met have been sex gods."

Vegeta - ISTJ : The Duty Fulfiller / Inspector Guardian

Dominant Introverted Sensing (Si) with Auxiliary Extraverted Thinking (Te) and Tertiary Introverted Feeling (Fi)

As an Introvert, Vegeta likes to be alone to work towards his defined goals. He “does not care if he’s a lonely star”, and was ready to train alone in the Room of Spirit and Time for years. As an Introverted Sensor, he has old traditions to cling onto and uphold. And he is a traditional thinker with great observations and memory. He figures he should do and be able to do exactly what Goku does to improve his skills. When he fought Goku he asked why Goku is not fighting like with Nappa, and Frieza was going to transform, or when he met with Mirai Trunks, the Androids and Tarble or Beerus, he immidiately called them out on his past fact-based knowledge or memories. As a clever tactician, he was quick to tackle and absorb new ways as long as it benefits him, but always examines, compares and contrast them to his established belies deeply rooted in the past, or save them for comparison to future experiences. He’s more cautious in his approach to action compared to Extraverted Sensor (Se) Goku who is entirely against rules and traditions, takes things directly in via the 5 senses, jumps right into exciting fights and lives fully in the present (Si) Thanks to his developed Te Vegeta comes off as highly intelligent with less “by the book” mechanical way of thinking and more of a well thought out plan for things (that coupled with his ambition and egoism especially in the Saiyan Saga and Namek Saga can be confused with those of an strategist INTJ, but he never used Ni) His rivalry with Goku and the way he always felt the need to reinforce Saiyan values onto ‘Kakarot” and others is Fi behavior.

Vegeta displayed traits of an ISTJ :

- Not very brightly creative and unconventional, but is willing to work for long periods of time and put tremendous amounts of energy into doing any task which he sees as important to fulfilling a goal,

- resist putting energy into things which don’t make sense to him

- prefer to work alone, but work well in teams when the situation demands it. Enjoy being in positions of authority.

- PRIDE and strong demand for integrity and perfection on himself ( apologizes to Gohan)

- Awkward with his own and other’s feelings, has difficulty showing genuine love and care for family, despite being intense and loyal to a fault as a husband and very committed as a father as well as brother.

- Upbeat sense of humor, likes to have fun and let loose outside of duty fulfilling (ballet and cooking and TV watching with “Bargain sale” and “Dirty Fireworks” anyone?)

- Very smart and efficient when he wants to be, but when things don’t go as planned or just simply go ver wrong, ISTJs have an unfortuanate tendency to think of all the worst possible outcomes, and this can paralyse him.

But then again, he is not an healthy ISTJ for most of the series: self-righteous, arrogant, rock-headed, inflexible, shun “meaningless attractions”, lack of interest in other people and in relating to them, TOO MANY inappropriate emotional displays, demanding and selfish, zero point for social skills, feeeew more points for patience and tolerance, intense but twisted sense of right and wrong, has some serious obsession with constructing his outer world into a predefined, acceptable system in the past to him (“You humans are weird, killing isn’t”) .

His logical thinking helps him to be more practical and down-to-Earth. As his feeling function developed, he began to realize that Goku was better than him by looking at Goku as a person. The truth is not just something of past precedent (Si - that he was born a Prince ) or external standards (Te - power, way of fighting and the time put onto training ) but also of individual preferences.

All in all, ISTJs are hard working, strong-willed, persistent, capable and dependable people who will devote themselves into getting a job done whatever is it. They may not be the most bright or likable, but out of all 16 types, they got the gold pedal for one thing that defines them : Effort and dedication.

Random most accurate descriptions:

“The type most known as so serious, the basis of the “stoic warrior” stereotype, can seriously love them their goofy puns.”

"… would make these dry dirty little comments, and do something silly and COMPLETELY OUT OF CHARACTER like dance around the kitchen in slippers, though usually acting like Serious Cat or Archie Bunker. Little fun as parties, low maintenance, but never forgets your car number and the money you owed them.”

"Why they have to make themselves look like a "stoic" borefest - and always need to tell people to be like that is beyond me. Like they are the least weird of society. Underneath that facade is a crazy crackpot, a absolute weirdo."

Who gets told it's his fault for being so careless? Goku.
Who has to live with that similar to how he wanted to make Freeza live with the fact he'd been beaten by what he considered trash, and have to live with that shame? Goku.
Freeza got the perfect revenge.
