But how many casual Dragon Ball fans would have a 3DS in the first place? That's the golden question.
Plenty, the 3DS is easily the most popular handheld at the moment. If games for the PSP like the Shin Budokais were ported, I can't see this not being.

I got a 3DS only for Smash Bros., and the 3DS was free. Didn't really plan on playing anything else on it, aside from PKMN X (still haven't bothered to beat it). To be honest not a lot of people I know that play games on the regular have one. Same with the Wii U. Doesn't appeal I guess.

Doesn't appeal? 3DS have been selling quite well. Just because you don't know a lot of people doesn't mean that's the common case.

Also, is nearly 1/3 of the playable cast Goku or Gohan? Because I count 4 each for Goku and Gohan (counting SSGSS Goku).

If it's rated in Australia, there's no doubt it'll come to North America and Europe.

3DS sales are lower in most of the western world compared to PSP. I don't really see Extreme Butouden outselling the Shin Budokai games globally, but it's not like it has to.

I'm just waiting on Bamco to announce it globally. I know they're going to bring it, I just want the announcement already. I'm importing it, but since I can't play the demo, I won't get SSGSS Goku and I don't think the code from Volume F will work with a US 3DS. So, yeah. I want that content, but I can't get it, and that sucks.

Maybe Namco Bandai America will add SSGSS Goku and Golden Freeza as pre-order bonuses in the US similar how SSj4 Vegeta was in Xenoverse.

It is, the 3DS isn't going to reach PSP numbers worldwide even, the system's peak year was 2012.

I don't know for sure since I don't follow or crunch numbers, but I find it hard to believe either the PSP or the Vita have outperformed the DS or 3DS, since I have to hunt down games I want for my Sony handhelds half the time, and can just stroll into Wal-mart easily enough to pick up any number of Nintendo handheld games.

In other news though, did anyone else notice this over on the Bandai Namco Facebook? I could be reaching, but I think we might be getting an international release announcement for this game at E3. Especially since the message appears to have been edited at some point since it was first put up, making me wonder if it originally read as 'EXXXXTTTREEEEMMMEEELLLY excited' or something, making what it was hinting at too obvious. :P

You can see edit histories on posts; they misspelled "EEEXCITED" as "EEEXICTED" and corrected it after about half an hour.

...Oh...well...that shows just how skilled I am with Facebook despite having used it for a good handful of years now, heh. ^_^;

Regardless, I'm still betting on us getting an announcement at E3 (though I'm not sure how much of a presence DB usually has at E3 despite the near-constant games since Budokai), especially with that Australian rating board news.

I got a e-mail from CDJapan. My copy has shipped. Now all I need to do is buy a copy of Cubic Ninja. Too bad it's like $40 everywhere I look because of the exploit.

Opening sequence has been uploaded, recycled Kuu Zen Zetsu Go! with a lot of still 'meh' shots. Just hoping the lackluster animation is an indication that Toei has been working hard on DBSuper rather than it giving us a taste of what is to come.

The animation is at least better than what the Xenoverse opening animation was.

Son-Kun's facial expressions are absolutely adorable in that opening! His face is just cute! So that's what DB looks like with "cute style" drawing huh? I like it!

Does this mean a genuine general EU release is possible? Or will it be just specific random countries that will license the game?

The opening was pretty meh... At least it was better than Xenoverse, but still... It was pretty underwhelming...

The problem for me was that there was nothing particularly cohesive about the whole thing. I mean it was literally just split into three random parts
starting with Goku and his back turned and having his major fights in the series (with the exception of Boo which is ironic because the intro song used is also the intro to
the Boo arc of Kai), then Goku flying on his cloud and showing us his reactions to random characters doing things, and lastly a showdown led by
Freeza and Goku respectively in which everyone is fighting.

The first part was generic fluff which has been done before and is basically a showcase of what people grew bored with regarding Dragon Ball games
and their tendency to repeat the same story over and over again. This part wasn't needed at all and was essentially just fluff.

The second part had potential and I actually thought it was a great idea to have Goku flying by different Dragon Ball characters. However, the problem
here was that the opening would stupidly skip to a close up of Goku's reactions of each group for about three seconds. This basically just acted as more
fluff and made the whole thing just repetitive and boring. I mean I would much rather see Dr. Gero get frustrated from a checkmate by #8 than watch
the perplexed look of Goku which I have seen thousands of times over again in the past. It would have been great for the opening to have just started with
a close up of Goku on his Kintoun and fly past groups of Dragon Ball characters each doing their own thing and possibly showing off their main moves which
would've made me be like "Dude I wanna do that!" and then go back to Goku and have him jump off his Kintoun and join the entire group ala beautiful
Dragon Ball Z Openings 1 and 2. That would have been great for me, but regrettably we get to the third part which is essentially just dumb, messy fight scene...

The third part is just a big fight scene which honestly would have worked in most Dragon Ball Z games, but unfortunately with the 1000 different support
characters it just turns into a big sloppy mess which just leads me to be confused. I mean why is Mr. Satan just pointlessly popping up here and there like one of those arcade whack-a-moles on the villains side? Is it funny? It's not funny... It's just messy and annoying to look at... Why is Freeza leading the army in the beginning of the fight when at the end of the fight Boo is? Why are characters A, B, and C shown at the final part of the openings on their respective sides but D, E, and F aren't?

Lastly, the music just didn't work the opening at all... I mean it's a loud, bombastic fun song from the start, but you've got that first part which is unnecessarily
solemn in it's dark colors. Then you've got the second part which the song does fit quite well. And lastly you've got that last part which seems serious at some parts
but has Mr. Satan popping up and down because he's Mr. Satan and a bunch of random other characters that just messes up the tone of the entire part. I mean the song while not ideal for the first part, the song works. But the third part just ruins everything because it's too serious for the song but still has awkward transitions which
makes it not only hard to hear, but also just hard to watch.

Still, despite that, I generally skip the opening anyways. So it's not too big a deal to me! :D

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

So they kept 16-bits SNES music style for Super Butoden 2.
Interesting, they avoided a graphics-music clash.
The melodies are new, but the rythm and tone of the tracks were kept as much as possible. It's hard to explain, they're new tracks, but you could still tell which track was meant to replace which track just by listening to it, you could say "this one is the replacement for Cell's theme", "this one is the replacement for Piccolo's theme", etc...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1C6t3LGnpCo#t=231

This video will show you two random fights (same music), then the player plays a little bit of all tracks available in the Option Menu's sound test, then he starts the story mode to hear those tracks in context until Cell gets destroyed by the "Father-son Kame Hame Ha".
