Interestingly, the Hit/Goku episode takes place the same weekend as the Jump Festa.
What I would say is, if that was going to be the start of the Arc, they wouldn't have revealed it now. Otherwise, the Festa announcement won't be an exclusive.

The Champa & Trunks Arcs were both revealed ahead of time if I remember correctly?.
The Champa Arc started in the manga, Toyotaro mentioned the manga skipping ahead again, so I'd guess that the new Arc will debut in the manga once more, and these 3-4 episodes (or more assuming the Hit/Goku is an Arc) will be skipped as filler.
I see the Jump Festa revealing the Arc, with the final chapter of Future Trunks in V-Jump '17 #2 (out in December) then the new Arc debuts in V-Jump '17 #3 in January.

The point is that it seems "Goku dies" and not "Goku Die!".

We have to wait a final translation.

Anyway, i have a Sayan Saga vibe. With Goku taken out for the moment, the other guys will have to approach the upcoming menace alone.

Than Goku will eventually come back in the darkest moment with a devastating new transformation learnt during some of his trips in the afterlife.

I don't think they'd actually kill Gokû in a filler arc. I think it's just describing Hit's order, but I could be wrong.

I'm most interested in the baseball episode (time for Yamcha to shine? Also, Coach Beerus) and the Arale episode. Hit was kinda boring to me (but then I was never that big a Jotaro fan either; Joseph's my current favorite Joestar).

It's official. This mini-arc is going to so kick-ass!! The return of Arale! Yamcha possibly playing baseball! Hit assassinating Goku!! It really looks like it'll be better than the Monaka arc. Well, aside from that ADORABLE Baby Pan episode.

But we rarely know about most of the U6 people, I hope we get more background on Why Champa has disliked Beerus, Vados/Whis relationship.

Actually showing other gods before toriyama has drawn them could turn out to be a problem( I am assuming he hasn't drawn them )..
And it's hit! Not just some mortal appearing to fight on par with godly goku.. he can only manage that due to his time hax..
We got less of hit than we wanted and now we get it..

Obviously not. I'd prefer something new, even for a filler saga. Too bad Toei never ventures themselves, they always recycle past concepts, which itself is something good; what Toei did in episode 2 was fantastic. But not always Toei will be lucky. Not having faith at all at this and considering Potaufeu was boring as hell, I'll probably skip this new saga entirely.

I think Champa might be the one who hires Hit to assassinate Goku. Let's not forget the possible multiversal tournament, and that in the Champa arc, Goku was the only one who gave Hit REAL trouble. He might be trying to take precautions for the upcoming tournament by getting rid of Universe 7's trump card.

If Goku really dies it means one thing... Gohan is making a comeback. We know that Vegeta will never beat the main villian so it is time for Super Ultimate Blue Gohan.

Thanks. Baseball is non-existent in my country.
For some reason I doubt Whis will be playing, he just fits the observer role. We also have to fill Champa's team, I doubt he will bring 9 people from his Universe. Probably Beerus and Champa pick alternatively between characters.
Puar and Oolong are likely to be in it too.
