Are you expecting Goku to be curbstomped?

Post by Noah » Mon Apr 04, 2016 3:13 pm

Do you remember a couple of times that Goku got humiliated by a foe?

Golden Freeza?
Beerus?
Broly?
Raditz?

Well, I'm with those that think that is never good enough to see the protagonist go through some brutal spanking, you know... Character development and blah, blah, blah

This thread is directed to the already confirmed match between Goku and Hit, and I don't know about you guys but I'm fearing an old cliche of the series: Goku step into the battlefield after his allies defeat and manages a way to defeat the enemy.

I don't want to see that, it would make no sense. Goku and Vegeta are on par now, if Hit is an opponent that Vegeta couldn't handle, then neither Goku would do, but I know what they're trying to do, maybe with the match between Vegeta and Hit, Goku detects something that could help him while fighting Hit in his turn, just like Golden Freeza but in reverse! Lame.

Also I don't want to see another match like Goku vs Paikuhan, please... As a matter of fact, I want to see Monaka in action and I think that a final match between two characters that are no protagonists is indeed something interesting and innovative as I said before in another thread.

So I really hope something different than the way is heading to and I expect Goku to be overwhelmed by Hit.

Here are my three predictions, considering Saikyou Jump called it the "last match".

a) Vegeta gets beaten by Hit, but Goku figures out his technique, has as even match with him and ends up winning.
b) Goku doesn't figure out what technique Hit is using and is accidentally killed, Hit is DQ'd.
c) Goku loses but Monaka refuses to fight

It's funny how you mention the Paikuhan fight, yet forget how Goku actually won that fight.

Teleportation

Goku and Vegeta may be on par power-wise, but this one technique could potentially be exactly what can swing the battle in Goku's favour, whereas Vegeta couldn't.

Wow, you really think that Goku would die?

Not really, I know that Shunkan Idou is a useful tecnique, my point was that I don't want to see a fight between comrades, I expecting something dark and devious about Hit.

B and C would be acceptable I guess, but I really don't want Goku to win at all. That would be awful in my opinion. Even if Monaka is a wimp and gets one shot, I want that fight to happen. Man, I'm kind of bummed if Goku/Hit really is the final match, unless the tournament gets interrupted somehow. Maybe even by Monaka.

Why not? Would be a much needed twist.

Yeah, I know but that wouldn't diminish him too much? A third death? I could take he get severely wounded, but not dead, I guess.

It's not like death in Dragon Ball means anything at this point. It'd be just another plot point by now.

Goku's been asking for a proper ass whooping for a while now and I'm more than happy at the prospect of seeing Hit give it to him.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

That got cancelled out when he let his fighting boner cause the deaths of most of his family in F. In an ideal world, it would be Gohan punching his teeth out over that but I'll settle for Hit doing it.

I'm certain Goku is gonna get his ass kicked again, and it will most likely happen against Hit.

So Goku vs Hit really is the last match after all? I kinda figured he'd go after Monaca regardless of what was said.

I'm not sure how it'll go. Them having a new form seemed like a possibility but probably not anymore, Vegeta said SSJB was the highest level and it's unlikely Goku got an extra form and Vegeta didn't and that he'd lose and not use it.

So unless Hit becomes weaker after having fought Vegeta and Monaca back to back giving Goku a more even chance then I don't know how he'll win.

I half expected him to lose but would they really have Goku "lose" then later come back only to lose again?

Well, I see no indications that Goku vs Hit will be indeed the last match of the tournament, can someone clarify me better?

Yeah and for that reason I'm fearing that Goku might defeat Hit, they let Vegeta win 3 in a row and Goku lose two?

Well, Goku lost in the final of the world martial arts tournaments twice in a row.

At this rate Goku needs something. Vegeta is on the best streak he's ever had, he's beaten Golden Frieza, Frost, Magetta and now Cabba.

Ever since Super began Goku has lost against Beerus, twice, lost against Frieza, he did beat Botamo but then he "lost" against Frost and if he loses against Hit then that's a pretty poor showing.

The only match Goku has won is against Botamo. I do think he's going to lose to Hit though.

Vegeta, Goku losing and Monaka stepping in to fight seems likely.
