Vegeta III

"Long ago..." These were the words playing on the television as he was sitting too close, his mother busy grooming the cat and his father probably another day, another bored businessman. Vegeta's calm was unrecognizable to a norm years ago that involved killing off the human race, whether it be of his own kind or of another kind, man or machine.
At fifteen years of age he was a regular student of New West City High School, following in the footsteps of a life his father and others in his generation would've been too tortured within; the rebuilding of mankind was arduous and troubled through the rise of Androids and the death of Goku, as well as a whole bevy of warriors known as the Z Fighters.
The show he was watching was in fact called 'Sayaman', a story written with guidance of the former World Tournament announcer about a superhero based off various contestants he saw that had formidable power. Sayaman was a character who was said to have been rocketed to Earth as a child by a dying race of beings known as the Saya. As he was relaxing Mai waltzed quietly behind him with their cat Puar Jr. and asked, "How was school today, honey? You pass the test you studied so hard fo...'
All of a sudden she saw it; the blue jumpsuit with an orange martial arts gi and boots very reminiscent of ones worn by a race of beings that Goku and the other Z Fighters defeated in battle. Whoever was writing the show was clearly doing their research into Earth's combat history and even possibly diving deeper into the more supernatural aspect of a world both seen and unseen. What she saw, however, shocked Mai into absolute horror.
Screaming somewhat comedically was Vegeta's mother and with it the cat's hairs stood up like it were slightly raised by a non-lethal static electrocution. Nonetheless he became a furball from the excitement as she yelled, "Is that Goku? It can't be! You mean to tell me that Goku's back after having died of a heart disease and all of a sudden everybody's coming back to life?"
Surprised, Vegeta turned to face his mother and asked her, "Mom! Calm down! Who's Goku?"
With this question the young mother suddenly came to her senses with the realization of the look in her child's eyes. As he had now seen this character behind him be referred to by his mother with a name clearly different from his television hero (his everyday name 'Mark Trent'), Vegeta was beginning to discern that this was no longer going to be an ordinary day.

Long ago, there lived a race called the Saiyans whose only purpose was to kill and ravage the lives of other races in the universe. With fierce power they wiped out entire species for the furtherance of galactic domination in the name of their overlords King Vegeta and Lord Frieza.
However, Frieza betrayed King Vegeta and would wipe out the Saiyan race with unbridled fury... and hidden fear! There came a day when the legendary Goku had defeated him, but was suddenly felled upon his return to Earth one day as he had acquired a heart virus that laid him to rest.
When Dr. Gero's androids finally arrived, the Z Warriors were cut down in inexplicable battle that forced Trunks to become a hero. This is the story of his son... Vegeta the Third!
What will this young man think when he finally discovers that he is in fact the descendant of a warrior race from his father and mother? Find out on the next episode of Dragonball Z!
