How would you rewrite Goku in Super?

How would you rewrite him? Also, what would do to him story-wise? Would make more mature or immature?

Goku, the lone wolf private detective is back, contracted by Yoshiko, a mysterious, beautiful and very afraid woman, to find and save her brother, Ryu. Will Goku be able to protect Yoshiko from her step father's soldiers long enough to find her brother? Meanwhile Ryu, the unfortunate subject of a military experiment gone bad, leaves a trail of bodies behind him and has no intention of being found or saved by anyone. Will Goku have to kill the man he is supposed to save? Will even his omniscient cybernetic eye and sceptre be enough to help him defeat this indestructible killing machine?

Not make him super forgetful, don't make him incredibly dumb (and realize the guy can drive and has basic education thanks to Roshi and can think clearly and knows when a person is truly weak), get rid of stupid not kissing Chi-Chi thing, and don't make him on the receiving end of Vegeta's "attacks", improve his dialog so that's more in line with the end of ep 64 iirc (the moment where he and Vegeta saved Gowasu and U7 Kaioshin from Black and Zamasu's attack).

I'm in the minority where the only thing that's bothering me about him is the absent mindedness. Forgetting the senzu once is okay, but it stretches my imagination to think he'd forget the seal AND Kamesennin would forget to hand it to him.

Goku is wished by the Super Dragon Balls into the world of Hunter x Hunter (as a child of course)


Kidding. I'd bring back more of the savvy mature Goku we see against Cell. The Goku who wanted to test his own limits but realized when they were reached...it felt like a perfect progression of his character at that point.

I honestly don't really mind how Goku has been written as a whole in Super. There have been on or two missteps in certain episodes where his characterisation is somewhat exaggerated, but it's only been for the sake of a joke and not treated as a serious matter.

Just make him a continuation of his Boo Arc self. To me that's the best Goku has been portrayed.
They just need to follow that path and that's it.
