Yeah, they're idiots.

Don't try to hide it, PsyLiam. We know you're a farmer. Well, at least I do.

Boo to Daylight Savings Time. In addition to suddenly and drastically messing up my perception of when the sun rises and sets, they've stolen an hour of our lives. :(

But we get an extra hour to lie in during the Autumn. So, yay!

And what are you doing awake when the sun comes up anyway, eh? Only those of us who need to get toiling down the fields should be upright then.

The world should just use military time. Perfectly standardized worldwide. So it's dark at 1215 over here. Who cares?! 1555? S'all good!

What is it with you guys and Jello? I mean, the stuff feels like you're chewing on grubs when it's in your mouth, and it's made from the boiled down tendons and bones of animals. Ick. :?

Um... I knew it had something to do with saving daylight.. o.o
Aww... all you guys are so nice! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ This is the 4th happiest day of my life! Also because there were powdered doughnuts (sp?) that were loose in the vending machine, so we got two packs instead of one! And I didn't eat them with skim milk.

And that's why we love you.

"Doughnuts" was correctly spelled too.

And, er, I meant that I was wondering if you were aware that the time the sun sets in Ireland changes constantly throughout the year, just like in the US, and, indeed, almost everywhere else on the planet.

I thought it was donuts. Are they the same thing? Well, the spellchecker recognizes both.

*watches the connection lag marvelously* Yes, I shouldn't be at message boards while downloading Sailor Moon games.

Anyway, donuts is the American way of spelling it. Most other countries spell it "doughnuts".

Oh...the Ireland thing... I just thought it was strange because I don't remember it being bright outside that late anywhere I've been. ^_^

Actually, "doughnuts" is also the American way of spelling it. "Donuts" is merely an accepted shorthand that has become more commonplace in the US than anywhere else, although we do all still recognise it.

And, thinking about it, 11 o clock is really late for the sun to set. You're sure you weren't, er, indoors or anything?

Well, I don't know about 11 p.m. and I feel weird saying this Liam since you're from London and live in England, but I know that when I visited there as a child, it was June and I remember it not getting dark till 10 p.m. anyway.

Well, ten makes much more sense. I suppose it depends on what you mean by "dark"? Is that when the sky is as black as it's going to get? When there isn't even a hint of the sun over the horizon?

I remember it being 10 p.m. and the sun was just slipping underneath the horizon, so the sky wasn't too dark yet, mostly that pink/orange colour. The summer skies were quite beautiful-looking at sunset there I found actually.
