How do you think Vegeta will go out?
I am thinking he will have his shining moment vs Toppo who he will defeat and then promptly get taken out by Jiren with about 5 minutes left leaving goku as the only u7 fighter

He won't, he'll win.
(really a long shot but that's what I'm going for).

Complaining about Goku always being one step ahead of him after lsoing to Jerin.

For him to win he needs to attain UI during this arc, which I think would be a bad idea.Polyphase Avatron wrote:He won't, he'll win.

Even UI didn't seem to do much against Jerin. The only way I see him going out is if he has to fight 2 UI fighters and even then he seems like he could hold them off.PsionicWarrior wrote:For him to win he needs to attain UI during this arc, which I think would be a bad idea.Polyphase Avatron wrote:He won't, he'll win.

Re: How do you think Vegeta will go out?
Rather than going for an original finale that's somewhat reminiscent of Toriyama's Saiyan arc Vegeta fight, I expect the Saiyan Prince to be eliminated in order to puff up Jiren's already oversized ego and power level. Why not? He's the perfect scapegoat. Toppo himself referred to Vegeta what everyone considers him to be. In fact, second fiddle might have been an uplifting compliment for him when we as the viewers are aware of three other fighters, sans Goku, from Universe 7 who are roughly in the same bracket of power as he is. To be fair, I'm not expecting #17 to have the same odds of being deemed "second fiddle" as Gohan or Freeza; not with their historical proximity and relationship to Goku.
Re: How do you think Vegeta will go out?
He will eliminate himself after seeing everyone expect him in the arena unlock UI,yes even Katopesla.
Re: How do you think Vegeta will go out?
I have a theory in regards to Jiren and UI. It was mentioned by Whis that Goku could use the defensive side of UI only. I wonder if Jiren is the opposite and can only use the offensive side of It? This would explain why it was kind of a stale mate between the two since Goku's attacks lacking UI power were stopped but his UI defense was on point. Obviously Jiren may have mastery of UI and be toying with Goku. Although his sudden interest coming back out of meditation could be him studying Goku to find the missing link to UI defense that he may lack.sintzu wrote:Even UI didn't seem to do much against Jerin. He already has it, he'll just switch his belt to U mode.Whatever wrote:He will eliminate himself after seeing everyone expect him in the arena unlock UI,yes even Katopesla.
On-topic:
You've already covered exactly what I'm expecting Vegeta to do. I disagree with the "leaving Goku as the only U7 fighter" bit, though, as I expect Frieza to last longer than Vegeta.BlueVegerot wrote:I am thinking he will have his shining moment vs Toppo who he will defeat and then promptly get taken out by Jiren with about 5 minutes left leaving goku as the only u7 fighter

I think it would be a bad idea because then UI wouldn't be unique almost as soon as it was introduced. IMHO it makes more sense from a narrative pov that Vegeta gains it in a later arc than this one.sintzu wrote:Even UI didn't seem to do much against Jerin. But for sure a battle with Goku and Vegeta both teaming up in UI could look fantastic if they don't botch it, but I'd rather see that later against the next big threat.

Re: How do you think Vegeta will go out?
I see Vegeta being rung out as a coin flip. He either goes out in a blaze of glory OR he gets rung out by way of some ridiculous gag.
That said I think he's going to last at least until February.

Re: How do you think Vegeta will go out?
My theory is that Goku and Vegeta will team up to beat Jiren, and when they defeat him Freeza will come from behind and ring both of them out, securing his MVP prize.

Re: How do you think Vegeta will go out?
No he doesn’t. All he needs to do is have multiple U7 fighters left or be the last one standing or, which doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be the strongest. Kefla and Hit were some of the strongest ones in the tournament and they’re out. It just depends on who’s up against who.PsionicWarrior wrote:For him to win he needs to attain UI during this arc, which I think would be a bad idea.Polyphase Avatron wrote:He won't, he'll win.

I’m a huge Vegeta fan, but I’m not so sure he will be the one to win unfortunately.
How i predict the tournament will end:

Re: How do you think Vegeta will go out?
For sure. this arc is centered around Goku so I'd rather wait for Vegeta to get it in a future arc that's more centered around him. My point was that even if both had it, Jerin seems like he's so powerful that he could take them on.PsionicWarrior wrote:I think it would be a bad idea because then UI wouldn't be unique almost as soon as it was introduced. I'll go as far as to say that Jerin may be even more powerful than Beerus as Goku was able to fight him.

Jiren walks
Vegeta: "Jiren fight me, I am the strongest in all 12 Universes"
Vegeta attacks but Jiren grabs him by his hair.
Jiren: "You, stronger than me? What rubbish"
Jiren blast Vegeta out of the ring and Vegeta then cries on the bench.

Seeing how arrogant Vegeta is, I can realistically see that happening. It would be hilariousnamekiansaiyan wrote:Jiren walks
