Vegetto? Super Buu? Where did it go?
Here's something I was thinking of earlier:
I'm aware that a great deal of the Vegetto/Super Buu fight was filler on the anime side. I think I remember a post some time ago showing the manga version in its entirety, which was exceedingly short when compared to the four anime episodes.
But in the anime, something happens that has always confused me. Remember the instance in the third episode when Vegetto doesn't even use his hands to defend himself? Buu eventually gets pissed off by Vegetto's showboating and is about to blow him away with a ki blast, but his opponent casually kicks the attack straight out of Buu's hands.
The blast starts falling toward Dende and Mr. Satan below . . . and just before it hits, we get a shot of Other World. What the hell? When we come back to the fight, we don't know anything about what happened regarding the blast.
I went looking for those manga images again and couldn't track them down. Oh, well. I don't need them, because you're all so smart.
So is there something I missed? In either the anime or the manga? I don't own any manga, but the DVDs are obviously uncut and based off of the manga; I doubt there's a "hole" in either one . . . but, just to be sure?

Well, in the manga, when Vegetto's blocking all of Super Buu's punches with his feet, Buu doesn't make a ki-blast for Begetto to kick out of the way.
Also, the manga has Dende and Mr. Satan still tracking down this new presence that is Vegetto, whereas the anime has the odd duo hiding behind some rocks during the fight.
In the manga Dende and Mr. Satan don't even see Vegetto, since he's been absorbed by Buu by the time they've already reached the fighting um... area. (Wait, what the hell am I doing here? I've got homework! [flees])

Oh, I have the DVD. It just seems like such a strange, unexplained gap to stick into the anime, is all. I'm pretty sure there's nothing actually "missing", since its uncut footage anyway.Duo wrote:I'll have to review the DVD to give you an answer Anime-wise. If no one does by this time tomorrow, I'll check it out.
And now that people have answered with regards to the manga, I guess it's been answered from all sides. Hmm. Just seemed strange to me, but eh . . .
Still, feel free to comment if you see something I don't.
