Are the tuffles still canon?

After seeing a tuffle in the tournament of power, and not having them mentioned in the saiyan lore of Dragon Ball Super Broly, I have to wonder if they are canon to universe 7. I don’t remember seeing them in the Dragon Ball manga, if anyone can show me official materials that prove they did exist in u7 and were killed off by the Saiyans (or at least most of them) that would be a great help!

It's never specified which U2 member is a Tsufuru/Tuffle, but the entire race was never a part of the manga, it was mostly a little extra page from Toriyama that the anime decided to expand on (and as usual it did so in the most disappointing way possible). There's nothing in the actual comic itself that mentions them, and almost all elaboration on what they are isn't from Toriyama. So they're not in any different place than they were before, it was just never much of a place to begin with.

Toriyama had said in an interview in 2010? that the creator of the scouter was a tuffle so .. the autor turning them canon as a race in the universe of DB but with the interview and recent information, toriyana nentioned the original creator is Kikono a scientist of the frieza's army which causes that the previous this is discontinued ..

and although zarbuto is a tuffle his "race" can be called equal without having anything to do with the previous one and as such is never mentioned in the series so .. no, it would not be for now
