The Monkey King

Post by Sshadow5001 » Tue Mar 04, 2008 6:15 pm

I saw the title and thought of Journey to the West and after watching this video and seeing what seems to be a monkey flying on nimbus with the power pole I thought it warranted a topic.

I would pay a whole 15 dollars for that game. Seems like just another 2D side scrolling shooter.

That actually looks like a pretty cool shmup (shoot 'em up). I'm definitely picking up a copy. Thanks for posting the trailer, Sshadow5001.

Before noticing it's for Wii, I honestly thought it's headed for PSN.

I was sure it was a DS game.

It actually looks a lot easier than the original. I believe you died in one hit back then. Now there's an energy meter!

I'm glad they actually reference the Monkey King in the title but daggum it, there's no mention at all of the prequel there? o.o

(For those of you wondering what I'm babbling about, The Monkey King is a sequel to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1BAXKnw ... re=related )
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

I should've known it was a sequel to Cloud Master. I used to have that game in my SEGA Master System collection back in the day. Very fun game, but really hard towards the end.

In lieu of having to drag my Master System from my parents' house, I hope Cloud Master comes out on the Virtual Console.

Maybe I should just get a Master Gear converter, since I already have my Game Gear here....

It would be a wise decision on your part. That is, unless you still have the Cloud Master cart. I have a Master Sysetm emulator for my Dreamcast that has every SMS title on it, I think. It's been getting me by ever since I sold all of my SMS stuff years back. I could make you a copy if you'd like, The S.

My first thought was the old "Son Son" game.
