Worst theories or rumours

Being in the DB community for a long, long time (back when all those animated gifs were the most awesome things in the world), I've come across a plethora of terrible theories, rumours and just plain lies.

The latest one I came across was on YouTube, in which someone first asked if Freeza's mother was a Kaio, which I said just isn't possible, then for some reason they went on to convice themselves that Freeza's mother was Kaio. I.... just couldn't fathom that any further.

So, what have you guys faced?

Freeza's mother is a Kaioshin in the AF web dôjinshi, but the stuuuuupidest rumours I've heard about Dragon Ball is that there's a Live action movie coming out, a new Dragon Ball Z anime and an AF comic.

But since last year, all 3 things are true, even if the AF comic is fan made.

The weirdest theory I've heard was that Goku is the reincarnation of the creator of everything in DB (Toriyama?).

It would only apply to Goku from the anime up to the end of DBGT anyway if it was plausible. And that (Toriyama?) bit is just a little joke...

That Goku had sex with Princess Snake whilst dead for 7 years, and gave birth to a new child. I heard that one whilst in Primary School and even then I was like; "You what?".

Easy

1. Yamcha cheated on Bulma (which isn't true at all)

2. DBAF is an actual sequel to GT which is coming very soon (this rumour is the oldest and dumbest of all time, Toyable's doujinshi is the only good thing about AF)

3. Kaioshin became a cyborg made out of Milk Cartons and brought Gohan and Videl to a forest where they got married. (Heard in Primary School)

Gogeta and Gotenks fusing into Gogetenks.

I believed it because I had seen pictures of Vegetto and Gotenks before, and upon seeing a picture of Gogeta, I was puzzled, until someone told me something completely made up of course.

I believed it until I got the internet.

I once heard that Gogeta's Japanese name was "GoVegeta".
I kept on telling the guy he was wrong but he just couldn’t be convinced.
The bad thing is everyone at school hadn't even seen the 12th movie or the Japanese version in general so I was a lone wolf in my quest to prove this guy wrong.

That Goku had an even more powerful character living inside him in spirit. And he was taking over Goku's body.

Where did that come from? Well back before anyone I knew really knew anything about DBZ, the old FUNimation series is really to blame. They did have Goku turn into a Super Saiyan at the end of the opener while he hasn't even come close to that storyline yet (I'm talking about re-runs of the Saiyan Saga here). So naturally, I guess that's what came of it.

The way AnimeLabs fucked up everybody's perception on the swearing in the original. I highly doubt that Vegeta called Gero a "candy-ass faggot"...

People who have SSJ1000 in their forum names, remember that one?

I remember people saying "'Saiyajin' is the actual spelling of Saiyan, it's still pronounced 'Seiyan'"
I've heard some people say it as "Seiyadgyeen" though.

That was something people said too, that Akira Toriyama was a ladyperson HOYVIN-GLAYVIN!

Erm...

"Saiya-jin" is the original Japanese word. "Saiya" is a play on "yasai," which means vegetable(s), and "-jin" means, "race" or "people." "Saiya-jin" equals "Vegetable-people," hence their names all being veggie puns. "Saiyan" is merely an adjustment of the name into English. "Super Saiya-jin" = "SSj"

I'm not sure whether you knew that or not, so I thought I should mention it just to be safe. >_>

The rumor that Goku, Vegeta, and Broly are all brothers. And then this kid was talking about a Dragon Ball AF episode where SSJ20 Gohan is figthing Android 18 (God, those AF rumor-starters sure do create some random ass battles). I pretended to believe him just so I could hear what he would come up. Speaking of AF, anyone remember that site from a couple of years ago where they said that they were an animation studio that purchased the Dragon Ball license and were making DBAF, even though they couldn't even afford a domain name or a website without pop-ups? And those names that they came up with for employees were hilarious. Bardock Johnson? Broly Ma'Neur?

It was stated in the manga that he did. Granted, that doesn't mean it's automatically true, since it's being relayed by Bulma via Trunks, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. Unless it's officially refuted somewhere, then I would say it's true.
