Ok, MasakoX KILLED IT with that scream. I think Schemmel still does screams better, but Masako's was really good.

Ghost Nappa (and Ghost Vegeta) together was the best thing. I wish it never ended.

Also apparently there are deleted scenes? Good because Popo asserting the pecking order this saga I need to see

The rest of the Boo bits are already on TNM's review. They did up to EoZ.

I suppose this is about the best we'll get in terms of conclusively ending DBZA as a whole.

The color grading on this is exceptional. Did this get the SOM treatment?

The scene of Tien getting kicked is already funny without context, so I was hoping they would do it here. But they didn't oh well.

Honestly, I felt it was hit or miss. Sometimes, it looks weird. Like almost GT-like.

Shapnar as part of Buutenks was amazing, "you know who could really come in handy now?: The Great Saiyaman". Too bad they went with the doordash bit, but I guess it's more fitting for TNM's video.
Super Buu's british voice was spot on, you could smell the pint of beer coming out of his mouth.
Gohan's voice was great, too. He kinda sounds like MasakoX but not that much. Perfect balance.

- let's go Buu
- Uub
- Boob

These Bits are pretty hit or miss for me. The ones that I like mostly revolved around seeing the way the existing Abridged characters navigate the Boo arc's plot beats. On the other hand, the Abridged takes on the new characters aren't really doing it for me. Maybe that would be different if they had a whole season's worth of episodes to grow on me, but they don't; like the only funny thing about the very long Gotenks gag to me was Roshi being a boomer complaining about pronouns.

Also, this is something that I've been noticing while rewatching via the Creator Commentaries, and is reinforced here, but a lot of their visual edits (particularly the custom expressions) really stick out like a sore thumb to and it can really take me out of a scene.

I agree. I said a few weeks ago after Part 1 of the review came out that the bits felt more like the Super Abridged clips they did back in 2016. The humor's very shotgun & first draft to me most of the time. The rest of the time, though, you can tell some of the moments they had cooking for a while.

I'm going to be honest here... while I AM glad TFS tackled the Majin Buu arc in ANY way, I still feel a sense of emptiness over how they had to go about it.

Heck, the last 2 bits pertaining to the End of Z honestly bugged me a bit, because I was genuinely hoping TFS would AT LEAST tackle that with a bit more 'reverence', so to speak.

Like, I know that ending is a tad controversial for some folks when they look at it from a surface level, but it felt like they really wanted to rush through those, what with all of the shotgun-level jokes they tried to cram in (like the potshot to Pan in GT) and I'm not sure I feel good about it.

Side note, but there were a number of jokes/concepts I feel kind of bad that they weren't able to give closure to/cap off the joke from an earlier arc.

- Chiaotzu's remark to Chi-Chi about hanging with the Dragon Team eventually leading to her death.

- Was kind of hoping for Goku to take to Goten almost immediately upon seeing him, though I guess that would slightly come to odds with him and Gohan fully reconciling after 7 years...

- The whole world (or at the very least, the entire main cast (i.e. Bulma, Chi-Chi, Krillin, Yamcha, Roshi, #18, Marron Oolong, Puar, Videl and Ox-King)) reading the usual disclaimer once Buu kills them all off. In regards to the "whole world" reading it, I was thinking maybe TFS would have their fans get a chance to read said disclaimer).

- This might sound weird, but I was sort of hoping for a return of Krillin and Dende's 'karma conversation', where Goten and Trunks would briefly talk about karma, in unintentional response to Hercule's act of taking credit for Gohan's saving the world from Cell. Maybe Hercule thinks that Videl is his daughter, so she wouldn't have any trouble against a pushover like Spopovitch. Cue Videl being beaten to a pulp as Trunks and Goten have "the conversation".

- Krillin would bring back "Team Three Star" in the form of him and his family. #18 and Marron would be FAR more receptive to it, than Vegeta and Gohan ever were.

- Gohan and Goku getting proper closure regarding their 'strained relationship'. For the record, I didn't hate what they did during the Cell Games, but I was really banking on the Majin Buu arc giving Goku some sort of moment where he'd genuinely feel some level of reflection on essentially leaving his family for 7 years (to the point that he couldn't get to properly know Goten for all of that time).

- Personal joke thing, but I was sort of expecting "Vegeta, NO!/Vegeta, YES!" to occur upon his murdering the WMAT crowd, THEN during the Final Atonement.

- Another joke thing, but I was banking on Gohan going "F*** THE STREAM!!" upon Videl getting beat up.

- ANOTHER joke, but I envisioned Bulma briefly attempting to use Yamcha as a rebound upon seeing Vegeta go back to killing people, to which he'd tell her to screw off.

- Upon seeing/hearing/feeling/TASTING SSJ3's energy from the Other World, Vegeta's rage would break in a way we've never thought was possible. Mainly because Goku was holding back AND he essentially just killed himself for no good reason, since SSJ3 could have easily solved this whole mess.

- Was hoping for more of Vegito and Gotenks.

- Vegeta's arguing with Goku upon returning to Earth (while dead) would be something more along the lines of a couple who need to sort out being more open with each other.

- Hoped they would have done a bit more with the Innards of Buu filler.

- Hoped for some Mr. Satan/Dende moments, where Dende would be FAR more irritated by the guy.

- Was REALLY hoping for the "I need a minute to charge up" gag making its triumphant return/cap-off here, where Vegeta would give Goku his minute, while Goku sings either "Daddy Shark" or the Muppets theme. What's more, given how a great deal of this arc IS Vegeta's fault, it would have been rather cathartic to see him get his s*** beaten in.

- Not for the Majin Buu arc specifically, but had TFS tackled Broly: Second Coming, I was hoping Krillin's presence in the film would reveal that Piccolo took Nail and Kami's advice to heart, and started up his own clothing business, with Krillin as his first customer.

- Heck, speaking of Piccolo, the whole 'Piccolo doesn't have a house' gag could have EASILY come full-circle here (According to Toriyama, following Gohan and Videl's marriage, Mr. Satan would build Piccolo's house shortly before Resurrection 'F' happens). TFS could've acknowledged this in their take on the End of Z.

I agree. I honestly wish that they did like 2-3 movie-length uploads covering the arc. Might be a bit hard with Toei's copyright bullshit, but I'd still like to see them. A full fleshing out of the different parts the arc would be fantastic. They clearly jumped at the chance to do the Buu Bits when Mark approached them months ago, so why not? I really don't understand the thought process. The period of burnout is clearly over since they've gotten to do other things they've wanted to & had a break from the regular episodes of DBZA. A proper abridging of the arc would be really cool, especially if they could amend some of the more...off parts of the shotgunned humor. And, hell, they already have some of the more taxing moments (Vegeta's sacrifice & Goku going SS3) done, so they could just incorporate the voice clips they've already recorded into it. I'd love to see it.

Yes, EXACTLY. Like, this was legit my hopes for DBZA's Majin Buu arc, post-DBZA's cancellation.

Like, I would have been perfectly fine if their plans would instead be to cover the arc in "movie form". I wouldn't have even cared if that method would have resulted in us getting "Part 1 for one year, Part 2 the following year/the year after, etc." Like, as long as they covered Majin Buu PROPERLY (in some fashion), I would have taken it.

As I've said in my previous post, a lot of the "shotgun humor" kind of hurts some moments for me. What's more, I feel like the Buu Bits didn't give enough to characters like Goten or even Buu himself. Characters like Trunks and Videl? Eeeh... I GUESS they got out mostly unscathed, but still.

It really hurts, because I think there was SO much that could have been book-ended in this arc (jokes AND character arcs alike). You're also right in that clearly their burnout seems to be going away at this point. Like, I can totally understand TOEI, but isn't there ANY place where such a thing could be hosted, or is YT the only option for a wide audience?
