Finished the Vizbigs after 2 years. Driven by this commitment of having Dragon Ball readable for me in english and in physical form.
One Vizbig cost me around 40 dollars with shipping.

I think it's fine release for me, cool format, tough the binding prompts not to open the book whole as I am reading, which is tad uncomfortable and some of the coloured pages are black and white
and most baffling is the end chapter, where last 2 pages from the coloured rest are black and white. Censorship doesn't baffle me as much, just those rayguns in Buu arc are stupid as hell.¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨
But not seeing Bulma's breasts really doesn't matter at all.

Got me Jaco, a full color, and the sought after 30th Anniversary Dragon Ball book.
Gotta say I love the packaging of the anniversary book.

The hardcover sleeve the book slides into -
The slip cover which I find to be the best thing about this book. Love how the front is literally the first page of the manga and the back is the last. Really cool thing to do.
And finally the actual cover of the book itself, loaded front and back with images from the manga.
This book is just a delight to own.

Random question, but the Z era is divided into 4 arcs, right?

Yeah, 3 books for the Saiyan arc, 5 for the Namek arc, 6 for the androids arc & 6 for the Buu arc.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Cool. It sucks that they divided OG DB into just 2 arcs, but its understandable, they are shorter than the Z ones.

The boyhood arc lasts up till the end of the 22nd Tournament so they could've divided it up into 3 arcs.

The Goku arc could be 3 books covering the 1st 2 arcs.

The Red Ribbon Army arc could be 4 books that cover the RRA arc and the Baba tournament.

The Piccolo arc could cover the last 3 arcs in 5 books.

Regardless though, it's great we'll be able to have the full story in large size colored books which is rare for long running manga.

They call it the "Boyhood" arc, it includes 4 arcs: Hunt, 21st TB, RRA and 22nd TB.
Piccolo Daimao arc: Daimao and 23rd TB arcs.
And Saiyan, Freeza, Artificial Humans & Cell (although i call that arc just Cell) and Majin Boo.
Its ok, i guess, this whole division always differs anyway, its up to you how you want to divide it.

Made a trip out of town to see Captain America: Civil War at last (WELL worth the trip), and made a stop by Hastings as usual beforehand. Got a couple of different things, but only one thing in regards to Dragon Ball - a nifty wallet fitting my Kanzenshuu persona!
I was in need of a new wallet anyway, so that's...that's kinda sorta a responsible, adult-y purchase, right? ...Right?

Another day...Another Paikuhan figure! :D

The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128
Still recording Toonami broadcasts on VHS after all these years!
#1 Paikuhan fan!

Almost forgot to post about these, but I got the first two "Legends" of the Dragon Ball Digest editions.
I actually really like these. The colored pages look pretty good and they are very fairly priced. My only complaints are the Heroes card advertisements on the front and the really meh spine art. I kind of wish these were taken straight from the original Jumps too, but what can you do?

Just out of curiosity, how many chapters do they contain?
