I'm talking like "in the game's coding but you can't unlock it" and all that jazz.

Has there?

They can be unlocked without using a cheat device, so I don't consider those really "lost"

One thing I didn't like in Budokai was the movement (air, ground and so on) - Tenkaichi's roaming possibilities were way better, though not perfect at all (for instance, why would any character have a problem with firing a Kamehameha wave orthographically to the ground?).

Then again, Budokai had nice level-gimmicks (like this dinosaur in Budokai 3). Ok, Tenkaichi had destructable environment instead.

As for graphics, I liked Tenkaichi 2 and 3 (haven't played 1) much more than Budokai 3 for example.
When I take a look at Vegeta's face in B3 and BT2, in the latter it looks way better.
Also, lightning and such stuff was drawn better in Tenkaichi.

What I liked in Budokai were the combos, this part of the gameplay was too simplistic in Tenkaichi, although it is said be have gotten better from BT1 to BT2.

What I liked in Budokai 3 was, that you could choose your lifebars directly before a fight started, thus making a battle last longer etc.
But in Budokai there were always these capsules.
For instance Budokai 1:
Goku: Kaioken x2, x4, x10, x20, SSJ => 5 Slots
Vegeta or Trunks: SSJ, USSJ => 2 Slots
So, you always had less Slots left for Goku or any character with more transformation stages and they got kicked out of SSJ mode more often.
Then again the story mode of Budokai 1 was epic ^^

Well, there are numerous things I could write right now, mostly smaller details.
All in all, I always enjoyed both series, but neither was really "perfect", mostly I had a feeling that they didn't really try to be as well.
Okay, there was a major boost from BT1 to BT2 but then to BT3 they really only took a look at getting in more characters and tweaking some graphics...

You still have to use a password, which I consider cheating.
