TAVAC Co., Ltd. is an audio and video post-production studio operated by Toei Animation. The studio was established in 1973 and is located in the Sato Building in Shinjuku, Tokyo.[1]

History

By the early-1970s, Toei Animation's recording and editing departments had grown too large to remain housed in their Ohizumi Studio in Nerima, Tokyo. In February 1973, these departments were moved to Shinjuku, Tokyo and consolidated under the acronym TAVAC ("Toei Audio and Visual Art Center") as a subsidiary of Toei Animation.[2] TAVAC houses four studios, including two recording studios and two editing studios. The recording studios are comprised of a multimedia authoring and dubbing studio and a post-recording studio, while the editing studios are comprised of various editing rooms, including a linear editing room, a non-linear editing room, a preview room, and a positive/negative editing room.

Dragon Ball

All of the dialogue for any Dragon Ball animated television episode, television episodes, feature presentations, or theatrical films is recorded at TAVAC.
