Kaino is a fictional celestial body that is mentioned by name only in the Jiya manga series by Akira Toriyama and Masakazu Katsura, the second formal entry in the Galactic Patrol series.

General Overview

Jiya (inhabiting Yukio Kyūmonji's body) recognizes the giant fleas on Earth as "Mogan" from "Planet Kaino".^[1]

When Galactic Patrolman Jiya arrives on Earth to search for his missing colleague Stece (and independently confirm Stece's report), he finds that an army of giant fleas are attacking humans under the control and direction of Vampa. When he finally sees a giant flea for himself, Jiya recognizes them as "Mogan" from "Planet Kaino".^[1]

Planet Kaino (カイノ星 Kaino-sei) is a play on...

In the unlicensed 2011 scanlation by "/a/nonymous scanlations", the planet's name is erroneously transliterated as "Planet Kanoi".
