Really enjoyed that episode, and the new eyecatcher! Can't wait to see what track they'll use for the boy's first successful fusion - the emergence of Gotenks!

Not a bad episode, I would really wish for more music tracks though :C.

Another "Battle of Gods" track, another eyecatcher (it reminds me the "Battle of Z" intro a bit), it was satisfying overall. Some music choices could be better though.
But is me (or the crappy color correction xD) or they censored this scene ?

Ugh...
I love the whole "blood is bad unless it's not red" mentality.
BTW, just for your guys' information, it's eyecatch, not eyecatcher.

Look in the lower left corner and compare both shots It's censorship alright, but it's not even well done censorship as the color red is apparently bleeding into the background and now the pink blood is also doing that :p Stupid useless censorship :pShinGaijin wrote:Another "Battle of Gods" track, another eyecatcher (it reminds me the "Battle of Z" intro a bit), it was satisfying overall. Some music choices could be better though.

Higher-quality screen capture of the new eye catch. Not the best drawing.

I think the Goku on the left is passable, but the one on the right is horrific. I could definitely do better than that.

I fail to see any problem with the drawings, there are far worse eyecatches.Metalwario64 wrote:I think the Goku on the left is passable, but the one on the right is horrific. I could definitely do better than that.

Look closer. Goku on the right looks horrendous. The pose is all off and it has absolutely no energy to it. He could not look any more rigid.Black_Liger wrote:I fail to see any problem with the drawings, there are far worse eyecatches.

Honestly, he just looks like a badly traced/flipped version of the dragonbox single #42 cover: http://www.kanzenshuu.com/guides/home-v ... jpg?2fa3d6

His hair is too long, his left arm poorly drawn and his posture is very stiff. It's not a very well drawn image.

That's definitely one of Yamamuro's WORST drawings in recent years. Goku's torso is so weirdly shaped that it looks like humans drawn in ancient Egyptian art. Look at the gap between his right trapezius muscle and his shoulder.
Re: Kai Episode 127 (26 October 2014)
You know, it's weird: if some fans can do better than this, why doesn't Toei pay them to get eyecatch artworks? I'm sure a well-chosen fan could do a more impressive work AND take less money from Toei.
Hell, I'm even sure some fans would do impressive pictures for free, with just seeing their work included in the final official product as enough of a reward.
Couldn't Toei present it as some form of contest? "Everyone, make your best, professional-looking drawing, and if you're the winner, your reward will be that we'll use your work as an official eyecatch picture, becoming part of Dragon Ball's official animated history!"

For those who don't see what's wrong here:
Re: Kai Episode 127 (26 October 2014)
Yeah, it's surprising that something like that hasn't been done. You see a lot of fanart shown at the end of many shows nowadays. Tokyo Ghoul and Shingeki no Bahamut are two recent examples I can think of.Cold Skin wrote:You know, it's weird: if some fans can do better than this, why doesn't Toei pay them to get eyecatch artworks? Those end cards aren't fan art, so much as professional illustrators or animators being brought on to draw something for the end of the episode. Nisekoi did this a lot, producing wonderful end cards. The new end card for Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis is really awesome, too. This practice usually requires a diligent producer or series director to seek out talent. Given Dragon Ball Kai doesn't even use animators outside of months old Opening, Ending, and eye catch animation it is no surprise their end cards are so bland and repetitive.
Here are some cool Shingeki no Kyojin end cards.

Here's something interesting: the french dub of this episode has red blood.

Is just me being picky or do the majority of DB artists struggle drawing SSJ3 even in modern images. At least its not as bad as SSJ3 on a bad animation day of GT.
