Was really happy with that episode, thank goodness they removed the awful inside Buu filler scenes with the worms et al. Get to see Kid Buu next week, get ready for the final straight!.

Impressed with the cuts/edits this episode! Very smooth (art-styles jumping, aside--but nothing they could do about that). I'm still personally a fan of the Z eps 273-276 Inside Buu mini-arc (Gokû and Vegeta going on adventures together, and ridiculous stuff happening around and to them = fun dragon ball times to me), but it's not like I'm collecting Kai or anything, so I don't care what they do with it.

Guys, where do you see the episodes? You know... I'm from another country and all I have is "anitube".

I watch Kai episodes live on KeyHole TV, but there are many better solutions.Dyno wrote:Guys, where do you see the episodes? You know... I'm from another country and all I have is "anitube".

Anyhow, this episode covered right up to the end of "Z" #275, and with only 12 episodes left of Kai, and 16 left of "Z" to cover, they need to cut another 4 episodes worth of material out.
At this point, I can't think what more they need to remove apart from the "other world" scenes, and some of the post victory celebrations.

Hm, I might actually start tuning into this again, now that we're heading towards the final fight. Will be interesting to see how they handle Buu finding Goku, Vegeta, Kaioshin, Mr. Satan, etc. since there was that whole filler scene of them using their ki to lure Buu to the Kaioshin Realm.

Good chunks of 287 and the entirety of 288 is filler. So theres well over an episode right there they can cut.DBZ_Lee wrote:Anyhow, this episode covered right up to the end of "Z" #275, and with only 12 episodes left of Kai, and 16 left of "Z" to cover, they need to cut another 4 episodes worth of material out.

I know you watch the international version, but is it already over?DBZ_Lee wrote:Anyhow, this episode covered right up to the end of "Z" #275, and with only 12 episodes left of Kai, and 16 left of "Z" to cover, they need to cut another 4 episodes worth of material out.

At this point, I can't think what more they need to remove apart from the "other world" scenes, and some of the post victory celebrations.

Re: Kai Episode 148 (12 April 2015)
This episode was actually a pretty decent manga cut of chapter 506 and then half of 507. Aside from two small completely unnecessary filler scenes that have no ties that would make them at all hard to cut out, namely Boo's candy spree and one of the Kaioshin while transitioning between the action and Dende X Satan.
Only major offender in this episode is them ending the episode with the filler scene of Goku and Vegeta going full retard, trying to defeat one Boo while INSIDE BOO. Burn those Boo pieces all day but you're standing on a much larger piece of him. It's a fun scene of them fighting, yes, but it's very redundant. What's supposed to happen right away is Vegeta tearing fat Boo out.
Sumimoto's score is still a thing.

No, Toei wouldn't allow it to go past the Fuji TV airing so it simulcasts every Monday evening in France.ABED wrote:I know you watch the international version, but is it already over?DBZ_Lee wrote:Anyhow, this episode covered right up to the end of "Z" #275, and with only 12 episodes left of Kai, and 16 left of "Z" to cover, they need to cut another 4 episodes worth of material out.

At this point, I can't think what more they need to remove apart from the "other world" scenes, and some of the post victory celebrations.
The International count is 69 episodes, only difference between the 2 versions is the first 13 are edited down into 7, so the Fuji TV version is 62, this week's was 148 of 160.
