Re: New Animation VS Old Animation
I wonder what Nakatsuru is doing right now, and what it would look like if they brought him on as a character designer? Would his art look like it did a back during GT or the Dr. Slump manga he drew, or would it look closer to Toriyama's art style now. I think it would be cool to see that, or heck ...

Re: New Animation VS Old Animation
Personally I like the older stuff better, this really goes for most anime/animation in general. Its not that I don't like new stuff, or that i think there isn't good animation being produced today. Its more that i just like the look and feel of older animation, specifically in anime. With Dragon ...

Re: Why Toriyama-sensei's art style changed so much...
i think I've heard in a few different places that toriyama's would sometimes deliberately make his art more pointy, and angular on purpose because people would complain that it was to angular, and tell him, or maybe suggest that he go back to his old rounder style.

I'm sure you know, but it seems to be happening again. this is not a good time for this considering all the new movie news.

A difference in Goku's voice (FUNimation English dub)?
I was watching some old trailers for dragon ball stuff, and noticed in one for, i think sleeping princess in devils castle, that Goku's dub voice sounded different than in the show. Since finding this site, i have become more of a fan of the Japanese version of dragon ball, and have come to dislike ...

Re: VIZ 3-in-1 Editions Coming Summer 2013
I don't know if this has been brought up before, but i like the fact that they haven't added a z to what would be the z stuff in the anime, of the manga, if that makes any sense. Basically I'm saying i like that they are calling it all dragon ball and not splitting it up into dragon ball and dragon ...

Re: Is there any possibility of FUNimation releasing Dr. Slu
Older anime series tend to not sell well in the US outside Voltron and Robotech for some reason. Seems young otaku don't like older things or something. About almost 4 years ago I was at a Funimation industry panel and told the guy I would love them forever if they did Dr. Slump with Laura Bailey ...

Re: Toriyama's tools
Thank you, every one who replied I'm a little confused as to weather or not he used the Luma for the color pages when coloring the characters and backgrounds or was it just for like inking text. Also i knew he switched to doing the coloring and applying tone digitally, but i never knew it was in the ...

Toriyama's tools
I'm wondering what Toriyama used to color Dragonball when it was in serialization, and after, before he switched to doing it digitally. and were the color pages colored with different tools than the tankobon covers, or the chapter pictures he drew, (I cant remember what they're called exactly) or ...

Re: DBZ Movies five/four packs vs Blu-rays
Thanks for the reply, I think ill start with the 5/4 packs, and collect the blu rays as well but get 1 or 2 at a time. since the getting 3 of the blu rays is about as much as getting the 5/4 packs which is about 60 bucks, at least on amazon anyway. Thanks again for replying, you really helped, i ...

Hey this is my first post and I ' ve been wonderin g which release of the DBZ movies I should get. It ' s between the DBZ movie five/four packs or the B lu - ray double features . I don't think I mind the cropping for the movies because they were made with that in mind. S o which looks better, which ...
