Hey this is my first post and I've been wondering which release of the DBZ movies I should get. It's between the DBZ movie five/four packs or the Blu-ray double features. I don't think I mind the cropping for the movies because they were made with that in mind. So which looks better, which is more convenient, is there a big difference between them, and are there any problems I should look (for in) one or both releases? I've seen and read threads about both releases but never got an answer on which is better, so I decided to make this post.
Also, and this is a little off topic, but is there a limit to how many threads you should make in a day? I don't remember reading anything about it in the rules, but I might have missed it or something.

Re: DBZ Movies five/four packs vs Blu-rays
In my eyes, at least, there isn't a huge difference with either release. Both the Movie Packs and the Blu-rays are based off of the same video remaster for the "Dobule Features. They have the same colors, cropping, audio, etc...
It really depends on if you want the movies in HD of not. The video for both release have some smoothing/filtering done to them, so there's not a whole lot of grain, but the detail is nice for what you're getting, since FUNimation had pretty good masters to work with. Some people have complained about the boosted contrast (darks too dark, and brights too bright.) But still perfectly watchable... The only real downside to these releases is the fact that the original Japanese audio is somewhat muffled, and doesn't sound as clear as the Dragon Boxes or even FUNI's previous movie singles.
If you can get the Blu-Ray Double Features for a decent price, snag 'em up. There's no telling how long they'll remain in print. If you're looking for the most content for your money, the movie packs are an excellent deal.

Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

Thanks for the reply, I think ill start with the 5/4 packs, and collect the blu rays as well but get 1 or 2 at a time. since the getting 3 of the blu rays is about as much as getting the 5/4 packs which is about 60 bucks, at least on amazon anyway. Thanks again for replying, you really helped, i didn't even think about how the blu rays might go out of print.

The think the DVD's look a bit better than the blu rays because grain and such is still a bit visible but because of DVD's resolution, the grain thats there looks more natural..if that makes sense lol
