Toei has already announced Akuma-kun and while the old iteration of that aired on TV Asahi, it is possible the new one will take Digimon's spot in October on Fuji TV.

Super will be repeated on Fuji TV's Satellite channel "BS Fuji TV". I think the "BS" is very ironic. So, unlike Fuji TV, which is a basic channel which everyone has in Japan, you need a satellite subscription to be able to watch the repeats. I've no idea if it'll be airing 5 nights a week, or one.

If Fuji TV is keeping a Toei show on at 9am Sunday after Digimon (which is due to end in the fall) they need a team free for pre production in time for October. Be interesting to see what team is free. Dai & World Trigger I assume will roll on. Precure will never end so I guess they could recruit an ...

I will say, due to the pandemic, Digimon will now likely go until next June, as they lost a cour.
It depends on if Toriyama has given them any new material to work with.

TV Series for Digimon tend to go four cours, so I'd say no Dragon Ball Super return to TV for a long time.

I'm just interested to know what is happening with Kitaro's replacement, as Toei have produced for that slot for the past 20 years.
Assuming Kitaro isn't being extended again, as they have yet to announce another set.

Didn't they officially announce a little while ago that Kitaro is entering the final stretch? I believe that they could extend it if they wanted to, but I'd assume they'd already have thought about that 6 month period before they made that announcement.

Could it be possible that Toei recruited some of the freelancers that worked on Super originally to work in the new department, and gave them contracts?. They did restructure after the first series finished airing.
I will say, the signs at this point don't look good.

To be honest, I'd love to see Super as a seasonal anime, but I doubt it'll happen for various reasons (another conversation for another day).

There will simply be found another reason why Super will return after the successor of Kitaro is known and it doesn't appear to be Dragon Ball. The Olympics for instance, for which Goku is a mascot. In that case "a return in July would be ideal". Some people clearly have difficulties ...

We will know 100% if Super flies or not at the end of January when Toei confirms if Kitaro finishes and what is the series that will be broadcast to continue.

Since March 1999, starting with Digimon Adventure, the 9am Fuji TV anime slot on Sunday mornings have always been produced by Toei Animation.

I still think we need to wait and see what replaces Kitaro.
I wouldn't assume DQ simply goes in at 9 in the fall, the original series was broadcast by TBS ...

When I heard it wasn't on the main stage, I was concerned. Not hyped for a movie anywhere near the amount I would be for a TV series. The last Dragon Quest Dai series didn't air on Fuji TV, it was on TBS.
It's also possible it could go on Fuji's Noitamina block along with Season 2 of The Promised ...
