Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

I absolutely love everything I'm seeing. Only complaint so far is me being fussy - Goku's outfit vs Raditz is incorrect, which is disappointing, as it's right at the start of the story, and a mistake a lot of developers have made, but again, I'm being very fussy here, and think this game looks amazi...

Since it's confirmed we're getting filler (Driver's Test Mini-Game) what filler would you guys like to see?

I'd love to see the Princess Snake Episode and Otherworld Tournament Arc
Goz and Mez! & Great Saiyaman vs. Red shark gang.

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

I'm sure we'll get a new trailer on Monday. It's opening night Live at gamescom, and V-Jump releases on Tuesday, so there's a good chance.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

Super will return to TV before the end of 2020, I'm sure of that. We won't see another movie until at least 2022 I wouldn't have thought. Either way, I can see it returning in April or July 2020. I don't know why Super 's return was postponed, but I do believe Toei's marketing dept. had a big hand ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

So what now? Realistically, is there any hope for a series next year? It's been pointed out that Kitaro was confirmed for another year so I'm pretty sure the earliest DBS could return is April or July 2020. There was a rumor that Kitaro could change timeslots so DBS could come back this year but I ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

Where did he say that at? I remember the Portuguese Vegeta confirming it but not him. And why are they talking about a show if Toei is making another Super movie? If people actually believe Geekdom and the others when they say most of the staff got swiped to work on Stampede then wouldn't the remai...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

One Piece Stampede director Takashi Otsuka has today tweeted that production is now complete. Little over a week away from its theatrical release. Fingers crossed the staff that were pulled from DB to help can return to Super right away. https://mobile.twitter.com/takaswy1981/status/1156470312810057...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

Last I checked Toriyama is still involved in the manga. We know he is involved, as Toyotaro has stated he's "tag-teaming with Toriyama-sensei". Toriyama is credited with the story on every chapter thus far, but he's also been given that credit all throughout the entire serialisation, so we just don...

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

Just because of an outfit? I mean, it might just be an extra costume or something. I still think the chances are remote. if they covered more sagas, they would have told us by now. What´s the point of keeping it secret? That's marketing for you. If they give all details up front, then there's less ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

If the Dragon Ball is for rights then it'd a job to organize the rights so simuldubbing can happen, I'm inclined to think. By the way... The db room seems to have a creative part, too. So I think it's not for rights and editing. Do you have a source stating this? Sure, here you go. https://www.kanz...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

As much as Dragon Ball is seen as an international IP now, make no mistake, the announcement will come from Japan.
Even if it is just a press statement, they will be issuing it.

I do see hints being dropped as a big possibility, but nothing more.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

So on the unlikely chance that a Simuldub could happen, it would just be Funimation? I just think it got postponed due to Stampede, One Piece is top dog over there, and they want to give that all the marketing for now. But didn't that One Piece enthusiast (I think his name was Skippy?) say that no ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

So if Kuririn is support only that means the image we saw of him on Namek is not from gameplay. As much as I'd love a playable Kuririn, now that I think about it, much of where he's important enough to be playable in the Saiyan arc and on Namek are also times where Gohan's around as well, so they p...

Vegeta, Piccolo & Gohan: both playable & support characters. Chiaotzu, Tien, Krillin & Yamcha: support only. -Supports can help w/ actions based on player movements. -Raise stats with food & battles. -Enemies include smth like Pirate Robot at Undersea Base. https://mobile.twitter.com/bk2128/status/1...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

If this Simuldub theory is true then will the networks broadcasting Super speed up the amount of episodes they're airing? I can't see the EU territories being able to produce a Simuldub. The only other company I know of who produce them other than Funimation are based in Korea, and they do One Piec...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

The French dub was all recorded early this year, and the first batch of the Universe Survival Arc aired in March. The last few episodes are airing in September, which is nearly 5 months after the first lot. Make of that what you will. I will say, that Toei Europe, who produce the French dub, aren't ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

I think TOEI are being smart. Broly only came out on BD in Japan the 5th June. They likely want to make the most out of Broly home video sales before they push out a new weekly show. From a marketing perspective, it would be bad for business to release Broly on BD, then have the weekly show return a...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" CONTINUATION - (Non) Announcement & Discussion Thread

Thing is, what do people expect Hayashida (a high ranking official at Toei) to say? it's clear the information isn't ready to be made public. He isn't going to say "oh yeah, it's coming back, the team are working on it right now". Toei officials aren't going to say anything, but to be honest, he doe...
