It's a shame that this is mostly about WHO FIGHTS WHO because there're so many awesome possible stories. Especially if you go outside the big two superhero comics companies, but even within those realms: Bardock story about the Saiyans doing a raid on Brainiac's planet samples.

Hack/Slash Meets Cell, written by Tim Seeley, is the only logical answer.

The Saiyans are really boring. They're fine as villains of an arc or whatever, but they're so paper thin that they can't actually sustain a wider mythology.

This is only a concern because fans are stupid.

I like that this Freeza concern was brought up as if it was a concern at all and not just completely frivolous worry-warting because fandoms always immediately assume the worst as a baseline response to literally anything.

Broly is arguably stupid because his story is more grandiose in presentation but not really any more or less meaningful than any other random Z villain. He's overindulgence to express the same basic idea as any other character.
