Bio Broly is better than Broly 2nd Coming.

Fight me.
it seriously is, i would much rather have a really stupid but pretty fun movie over the most boring thing the franchise did in its original run.

Re: Is there a general consensus on what the worst movie is?

Dragonball evolution is easily the most horrifying film nah... At least that's what even general mainstream audience would say. The rest of DBZ films are great in their own ways. Some lack plot (M10 Broly, DBS Broly some have poor animation (DBZ M1-7) some have too much fight, that too badly animat...

I mostly agree with you, but those Androids man, something is definitely off about their faces. I'm sure it will look fine in motion, hopefully.
Gero looks pretty great but #19 has a really bulging nose and it makes his face look so crunched,

Re: Is there a general consensus on what the worst movie is?

I don’t know if I should be embarrassed by this, but I didn’t even realize that Movie 4 was seen as a contender for the worst one. I don’t care for it either, but I was under the impression that people were just sort of indifferent to it. It always struck me as the least talked about of the origina...

I was talking about the childish behaviour of how he does it in the game. That's something I would expect from kid Goku.
Goku fishing isn't out of character.

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

let's be real it's just a game mechanic that all characters can do so there's more stuff to do. Adult Goku is the one that it's not in character when fishing. And that's of course after ignoring the logic of how he can plug in his tail like that, in the first place. considering one of the trailers f...

Re: Vegeta's Assist in the defeat of Cell Manga vs Anime

the anime scene does a little less for vegeta's character, but it really does a lot more the earthlings, and seeing as they all more or less retired as fighting characters in the boo arc, it's a pretty decent last hurrah for them (even if they don't do anything in the grand scheme of things, it feel...

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

Uh, interesting. They fixed Goku's boots I'm that Vegeta cutscene (in previous trailers and the Raditz demo he had red lines and brown laces with knots, now he has yellow lines and red laces without knots). This gives me hope they'll give him the correct clothes for the Raditz fight (so that he rem...

Re: Editing of painfully-outdated LGBT+ content in future DB(Z) releases?

Please tell me the struggles of the gay community in which a man belonging to race that has been openly bought, traded, and sold as property would not understand. A race that has been set back by generations because they were not allowed to be literate. A people who are still to this day depicted i...

Re: Editing of painfully-outdated LGBT+ content in future DB(Z) releases?

Let me blow your mind: The narrow minded people that took his jokes that way are the same narrow minded people that are taking his jokes as an offensive tirade and running with that narrative. They're both simply unable to comprehend what he is actually saying. Just because he's black and not gay d...

Re: Editing of painfully-outdated LGBT+ content in future DB(Z) releases?

Chapelle's special was the funniest, smartest thing I've seen in a while. In no way did he "punch down". In no way did he go "out of his way" to marginalize a group. When his jokes were about black people from his own personal experience, notice how the LBGTQ community wasn't up in arms? why would ...

Re: Editing of painfully-outdated LGBT+ content in future DB(Z) releases?

Is "punching down" the new buzzword? Did Dave Chapelle also "punch down"? I wasn't attacking tany specific LBGTQ....IA(?) folks in this thread, at all. I was pointing out how the notion to even being to censor previous works is absolutely ridiculous and spearheaded by what seems to be a politically...

the cover is pretty boring but those kind of designs for game boxarts are becoming more and more common, so i'm not shocked it went in that direction. still though, they really could have spiced up the background at least a little, lmao.

Re: Unpopular DB opinions

As much as it blows that Gohan lost the protagonist role, the genki-dama in Buu's arc was a surprisingly cool and heartwarming way to end the fight. We get to see Vegeta put more effort into redeeming himself, a big pay-off to Mr. Satan billing himself as "humanity's champion" and we see a lot of t...

Re: Petition to use SS, not SSJ, as an abbreviation for Super Saiyan

It's definitely subjective because I've always thought SSJ was kind of weird and pretentious. Like there's no point in using the J if the person who uses it doesn't even use the term 'Saiyajin.' Also, I don't know of any other context besides the Nazi one (which I only found out about through users...

most last house episodes really aren't that bad till the cell arc, i think after the piccolo vs #17 episodes is where last house episodes start getting noticeably worst and then after the trunks vs cell fight is where it gets distractingly bad. yeah it was never really complex and rarely fluid, but ...

the first opening animation for the original dragon ball always gets me, the opening shot always makes me feel comfy, as does makafushigi adventure as a whole but more so the animation. actually now that i think about, all the openings and endings for the original anime series's, i love them all, an...

Re: Petition to use SS, not SSJ, as an abbreviation for Super Saiyan

i know this is the logic for a lot of people who prefer funimation's name's, but SSJ really does look better. maybe it's just because i'm so used too it but i think it's partially because SS gets used in different contexts, where SSJ doesn't, at least as far as i know.
