Re: SPOILER! Saved Tape!

I was just trolling around... I wanted to see yours reactions because this ending comes from Fansub Tape. However it comes directly from Fuji TV and it sounds better to me than Dragon Boxes, even opening/ending songs. Not to mentioning Episodes audio quality because its too great comparing to ...

Intentionally fake question about nothing with a DBGT VHS

Attention! This is saved Tape from first broadcasting of DBGT directly from Fuji TV! Original DBGT Version, its not Fansub! Like you see there are no subtitles added and its in good condition. Some Japanese guy sent me this Tape :D (really?)

Re: Dragon Ball Z Footage Channel

Simple example in differance between Fansub Tape and International Channel. What do you think? International Channel recording colors are more saturated. Btw I used audio source only from Fansub Tape.

Re: Dragon Ball Z Footage Channel

Random question, but are Betamax Tapes better or worse than VHS tapes? I just lost all of my VHS Toonami Kai recordings and my VCR so I'm trying to decide what I'm gonna use next to record Kai.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betamax#HiFi_audio_upgrade Here you can find your answer :) But ...

Re: Dragon Ball Z Footage Channel

A couple items that will hopefully clarify things:

Formats like VHS are what we might consider "lossy". They degrade in quality each time they're copied on that format.

To get subtitles onto a VHS tape (like in a fansub), you have to: (1) record it off the television > (2) make a copy of that ...

Re: Dragon Ball Z Footage Channel

Let me clarify what I meant: These are fansubs, not what we around here would call "original broadcast" from Fuji TV, which is what I had gotten my hopes up for. Yes, the fansub tapes themselves are sourced from Fuji TV, but only through several generations of recording.
What do you mean exactly ...

Re: International Channel, anyone still remembers?

All I remember about the International Channel is that I had no idea what it was, but a lot of AMVs at the time had it's logo on the bottom right.
That's how I think of the Pearl clips. It wasn't until a Kanzenshuu podcast that I learned what Pearl was. Unlike Int'l Channel, Pearl was bad quality ...

Re: International Channel, anyone still remembers?

I used to watch the end of the Cell games on one of the Spanish station and could not believe how different the animation was  I didn't get FUJI TV (oddly straight from Japan) till the late 90's/early 2000's and it was too late for Dragon Ball. However, I did see some Chibi Marukochan!

Re: International Channel, anyone still remembers?

Wow the International Channel! I'd always look forward to watching DBGT on Sunday's. Got to see these episodes before Funimation released them on home video too. Part of the fun was watching GT in raw Japanese I'd only seen the dub at that point so it was kind of a trip lol I remember recording the ...

Re: International Channel, anyone still remembers?

I remember! Before Funimation's release of season 3 in the US, this was the only way to watch episode 67 and beyond on TV, albeit in Japanese without subtitles. The footage was aged, so I imagine it was the original Japanese broadcast video with a watermark embedded.
I've read on the forums like ...
