False Super Saiyan Appreciation Thread

Figured it was time to give some love/attention to one of the most (if not the most) underrated concept and transformation of this franchise (and to bring back these kind of threads that were a thing years ago). No doubt better than any over-the-top transformations and ugly recolors we see out there...

Re: Is stupid to use the term "canon"?

As I knew, I just search for confirmation on my point even if I was pretty sure. I want proofs just to prove the guy wrong Off the top of my head, an "evidence" of the lack of a canon is the existence of Dragon Ball Super itself. Just the "Battle of Gods" portion has three continuities (movie, anim...

Re: Is stupid to use the term "canon"?

Not only is it stupid, yes, it's very cringey when no canon has been established. Because that way, whenever people state "this is/isn't canon/cannon" (and they use the wrong word, to make things worse), they are simply stating their opinion based on nothing. Sticking just to what the author did/doe...

Re: "(Super) Dragon Ball Heroes" Official Discussion Thread

Really enjoyed that one! Yeah. I wouldn't mind if they start this trend to make old characters a SEC if they remake epic/iconic scenes. So far, there are only Majin Vegeta's explosion, Super Saiyan 2 Gohan's transformation, Super Saiyan 1234 Goku's Kamehameha (also from the opening) and that one. I...

Re: If characters from Dragon Ball appeared as Guest Characters in Mortal Kombat or Injustice

In Injustice I would like to see Daishinkan (and to be part of the story). How well would the DC characters fare against the strongest in Dragon Ball?

In Mortal Kombat, well probably Freeza's the best choice for obvious reasons.

Re: Should Freeza have never been revived in Super?

And we also know that both Goten and Trunks are far stronger than Freeza was when Future Trunks killed him, so why would they want him if any of the kid will be a better alternative? That's a question without an in-universe answer. Goten and Trunks should be an option since they were in charge to d...

Re: Should Freeza have never been revived in Super?

I don't know about that. I mean Beerus occasionally mentions Freeza and that's what made Goku had the idea to call him. Then they discuss the idea to bring Freeza back and no mention of the Movie 15 events. That feels to me like Freeza would be up for consideration even if Movie 15 hadn't happened (...

Re: Dragon Ball Power Tiers

Conversely, Super Shenlong was also able to undo Zeno's doing. The fact that Zeno has the ability/technique to erase an Universe doesn't actually make him strong in terms of combat skill/power, which I think this thread is going for, correct me if I'm wrong though. Going by Whis' statement in the an...

Re: Asking Takao Koyama

That means nothing in a series all about growth; Super Saiyan 3 Goku in movie 13 may be much stronger than he was in movie 12. Perhaps like the difference between Super Saiyan Goku in movie 8 vs movie 5. It means everything, actually. That's what we call "feats". As for time placement, well, it dep...

The "seal of approval" that Toriyama allegedly wrote it, and therefore it's "more legitimate" than anything that isn't generally considered to have been written by him. I have never even heard anything that Toriyama "wrote a seal of approval". But if it means "if Toriyama wrote it, then it's more l...

Re: Do you still enjoy non-canon Dragon Ball content?

How does anything subsequently done with those characters retroactively make the movies more interesting? You really love to keep going in cicles and asking people the same things, don't you? Alright, I'll keep copying and pasting the same answers, then: Because movies themselves aren't remarkable....

Re: Do you still enjoy non-canon Dragon Ball content?

So unless they were in some alternate dimension, which could presumably be visited by the characters in the regular dimension, you wouldn't enjoy it? It's not that "I wouldn't enjoy it", I would be mostly neutral. There's nothing really remarkable about the movies. So, like Dabura, one piece of inf...

But Hirudegarn is stronger than Janemba
Not at all. Janemba defeated Super Saiyan 3 Goku, while Super Saiyan 3 Goku was able to defeat Hirudegarn in the end. That and other things.

The fourth panel here is the most important one. Read it, read it again. Then keep reading until you realize you finally understood it. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Eb0trsTWkAEQ8E3?format=jpg&name=medium That being said, if you mean content that merely takes place in other continuities, yeah I do. Indeed. Which is why people shouldn't really bother with Broly. I only have a couple of questions regarding Janemba and that's about it. But I don't really mean to just go to him and ask them, especially now that people are swarming him with questions (about Broly to make things worse).

Re: Why is it still being called Mastered Ultra instinct?

From what I have seen, Dokkan Battle has a weird name convention. Which is why I think it is best to look just at Dragon Ball Heroes (it already gave us "Saiyan beyond God", "Super Saiyan Rage" among others). Since day one the black-haired one is "Ultra Instinct -Sign-" and the silver one is "Ultra ...

If it's that easy to talk and ask questions, someone should ask him about Janemba, the real strongest movie enemy (until Freeza randomly came up). What he thinks about his power and such.

Re: Exactly “HOW” did Vegeta achieve Super Saiyan God while training under Whis??

Yet no explict mention of Vegeta ever doing it in Movie 15. There would be no debate about this otherwise I don't think we are debating this because of a lack of a mention. I am perfectly fine with Movie 14 implying a ritual will happen at some point and then Movie 15 showing only the result, with ...

but that should be a mistake .. frieza meet kefla and Abo cabo Not for Abo and Cado. Yes, they can merge, but that doesn't mean they merged in front of Freeza before. As for Kafla, you may have a point. Still, we know that they shouldn't even exist to begin with. Either way, we don't have access to...
