When exactly have TOEI ever stated this, officially?
A producer said this to Ajay.

Last year, there were rumours, but since May 2019 the rumours have died down and thereafter were never confirmed officially by TOEI.

Re: At first I didn't care, but now I really wish for Toei to animate Moro arc...

If I am not mistaken, Toei even said they will bring it back, but want to take their time to avoid some of the issues that affected Super 1.0. They did, but that was before this Covid mess. I still think it's safe to say it'll be back, but probably not as soon as we or even Toei would like due to h...

Re: Do you think SSJ Blue and Beyond should never have been introduced?

We don't have an 100 % official explaination for the anime nor the movies continiuty for Vegeta to take that form. But in my opinion it's not logical to assume it's the ritual: 1. The effect of the ritual is only temporar, as Goku lost it when fighting Beerus. So there is no proof whatsoever the rit...

Re: If the show continues, would it/should it go with the Shintani style?

A movie every three years has so little to offer. An animated series with content as sloppy as the Monaka suit episode, the super human water mini arc, the great saiyman mini arc, and the saturday morning cartoon tournament of power padding has even less to offer. That's not what i meant. Animation...

Re: If the show continues, would it/should it go with the Shintani style?

"because anything they put on television would inevitably be a major downgrade from the latest movie" Well, to be honest with you, i'd rather have a full time anime, that looks pretty good to descent and has excellent writing. Shintani style is fine for me. But it doesn't have to be Broly-levels of...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

But seriously, no one else thinks it's the height of stupidity for Moro to even get a power boost like this from 7-3? I'm the only one that has a problem with him becoming so much stronger just from eating an android that's maybe ssj3 tier? He claims to have reclaimed the height of his power, that ...

Re: Exactly “HOW” did Vegeta achieve Super Saiyan God while training under Whis??

The ritual only had temporary effect, Goku lost the form when fighting Beerus. I think the same as Blue. Being able to raise battle power without Ki leaking out, in baseform, gives a Saiyan a SSJ / God-ki. When a Saiyan is able raise his battle power in that amount he achieves SSJ combined with that...

He used different power terms, not only talented about his honor than Goku but also that he was therefore a villain and also went to hell.

This has to be of course 'not only about being more talented than Goku ...' :problem:

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Compared to how terribly slow the past chapters have progressed and how predictable it all was, I found this chapter quite refreshing. This was one of the better chapters of the arc, along with maybe Moro vs Vegeta round 1 and Moro vs Buu. I understand that there was a break between the first two bi...

Re: Do you think SSJ Blue and Beyond should never have been introduced?

Maybe Blue was introduced too fast, one might say, but that was a mere result of the movies being not the intend of a larger project to begin with. I can understand they wanted to introduce something different than Red, two years after BOG. Once Blue was introduced though, SSG shouldn't have been re...

Re: The hills we choose to die on and the fights we battle for when it comes to Dragon Ball

But it's not utterly completely non-canonical either, as the original author is still involved and approving things. From the franchises perspective, Super is 100 % canonical. From Toriyamas perspective, it's not completely. I know it's "canon", but for me, the line between what's the "story" and w...

Re: The hills we choose to die on and the fights we battle for when it comes to Dragon Ball

There is the original ending of the manga with Goku flying away with Uub. There is the ending of the original anime run with Goku dying / flying of with Shenron. Now we are in a semi-canon continuity with different version for movie, manga and anime, Toriyama's quitting and final movie could be see...

Re: The hills we choose to die on and the fights we battle for when it comes to Dragon Ball

The issue isn't one of interpretation. Maybe not strictly, we have three different versions of the same continuity. The story has become diverged, even if Toriyama is still looking along over his shoulder. If Toriyama would still be making the manga, and the anime would be a faithful adaptation of ...

DB can have multiple endings. There is the original ending of the manga with Goku flying away with Uub. There is the ending of the original anime run with Goku dying / flying of with Shenron. Now we are in a semi-canon continuity with different version for movie, manga and anime, Toriyama's quitting...

Re: Would Perfect Cell had remained more powerful if he didn't create those Cell Jr.'s?

He was basically programmed to be the ultimate battle machine. Him loosing power when reproducing Cell Jr.'s, when he is fighting the one he has been programmed to ultimately destroy, makes little sense to me. I mean, Cell was such a complexed engineering being, he could reconstruct himself complete...

I first the saw the series, though not all the episodes, during the 80s and 90s. I watched the French dub long before DB even came to the US, it was already a thing in Europe. Five years ago i bought the complete FUNI Orange brick-set (only DBZ) and basically binch watched it. Later i read the compl...

What point? That there's nothing in Dragon Ball to learn from, take to heart, to consider? That it's artistically empty and devoid of any meaning? Not following, especially from you! You totally misunderstand. I was talking about what you said at the very end of that post, that your hill "wasn't mu...

Re: Blu-ray fixes and corrections

I think episode 5, considering how bad it originally was, was corrected quite well. It's still not the best animated episode in DB-history by a long run, but i guess it's acceptable. Epsiode 24 and 25: they could have done more corrections to the art in the Blu-ray in my opinion. The original versio...

In most cases things feels so utterly performance driven, while DB should be a fun topic to talk about. We are still a bunch of people discussing their favorite entertainment at the end. There is no deeper morality or right or wrong. There is enough of that stuff to deal with in real life btw. If y...
