You know I've never actually minded this (the fight, not the line about Buu being strongest). It always just seemed like the SS2 Goku portion of the fight was a warm up ...

I hadn't really paid much attention to the flaws Whis brings up about Vegeta. He thinks too much, lol.

Actually, I've always seen it the other way around.
Messi was the one who started with a handicap, much like Goku. His growth hormone deficiency is somewhat comparable to Goku being raised on a planet with only 1G. He had to overcome that disadvantage and work his way up just to reach the same ...

I think you are referring to the fight vs Rildo, when she slaps the shit outta Rildo and a trembling Trunks says she is stronger than himself.

Haaland as Super Buu is uncanny, it's insane. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but if Gohan represents France (Mbappe), then Haaland absorbing him would turn him into Buuhan... who just so happens to wear the colors of the French flag.

Fun fact: As a result of being the one to rip out Fat Buu from Super Buu's system, Vegeta is technically the one who defeated Super Buu. The strongest villain in the series was defeated by someone messing with his digestive system; classic Toriyama. 8) :lol:

Goku at this point has Super Saiyan. Super Saiyan is extremely iconic. There's no chance he WON'T be able to use Super Saiyan because that's what people come to the series for.

I think the Z fighters were far too forgiving towards Vegeta, since every time Vegeta messed up, they didn't take any action towards him or ban him from the group. His was always welcome to any fight.

The SSBE Geets-Granny fight I always read it as Granola not being as strong as he could possibly be. Defeating Goku due to having a lame-ish version of UI (due to Goku's own reasons that accompanied him althroughout the arc), and not being that much stronger than SSBE Vegeta.

I happen to like it. The fanart SS3 Vegeta with long hair made him look ever shorter, while Ultra Vegeta 1 seems taller to me.

Akira introduced some contradicting elements in BoG. He set a ceiling for Goku's base form while having his FP surpass Gohan's (by training sporadically and with no sparring partner). It's contradictory because it isn't the proper recipe for huge power growth.
And it cannot work without Gohan ...

And Dr Gero/Don Ramon is just a running joke from the LATAM fandom. Back in the day, there's no way Toriyama would've had any idea what El Chavo was. The katakana used for the name is off, too.
