Re: Which year do you consider the start of the revival?
Proto-revival period = 2008-2012 the Yo son goku returns OVA/manga dragon ball evolution (indirectly a big cause at why super happened) dragon ball kai bardock OVA hachiyack OVA dragon ball SD and the start of the lore inspired games' dragon ball online and heroes that are still relevant to the fand...

Re: Would you classify the Buu as a symbiote?
I think Boo is a more of > a dimensional parasitic demon < than a symbiote, tho i can see the similarities. i'd like to elucidate that what i posted specifically says ''a dimensional parasitic DEMON''. not a parasite, no idea if people may think boo is a latter rather than the former. :eh: just tha...

Re: What is actually the worst wish in history?
Probably using the Dbs to get rid of Pans cold/fever 2 reasons why. first obvious its everything the Old Kai mentions about the DBs and overuse. obviously it's not a horrible wish, but it is using them for the sake of it, and who knows if it could've jeopardised things if other Dragonballs were out...

Re: Information on Super Saiyan 4's power
Just to ask about this. There's Super Saiyan 4, Full Power Super Saiyan 4 and Ultra Full Super Saiyan 4? Of which the second was used against Baby after the group powered him up and the third against Syn Shenron in the same way but to a greater extent? This confuses me because against Baby, they sa...

Re: With DB targeting a more international audience nowadays, do you see a minority someday becoming part of the main ca
No. As other users have pointed out, Dragon Ball is very much rooted in Asian culture, specifically Japanese and Chinese culture and mythology. It's also important to note that Japan still remains the country where Dragon Ball is most popular and profitable. And with how Japan is a very homogeneous...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Beerus was never "retcon'd [where something established was changed later]." Beerus came in Battle of Gods stronger than everything in the mortal universe from fusion to Yamcha. He was setup as Goku/Vegeta's benchmark from day one. As the story progressed, the narrative never confirmed an...

Re: Why does everybody hate on Broly so much?
I believe the point about crying baby Kakarot is to illustrate how mentally stunted Broly is, not in a cruel ableist way, but to show that he's still a child at heart and so naturally associates Kakarot's crying with the rest of the insane trauma he went through as an infant, i.e it's kinda bafflin...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread
well, it depends of which ''SSG'' we are talking about. if we are talking about BOG's SSG then it equaled 60% and pushed beerus to about 70% of his power. if we are talking about the manga/TV show SSG then we have no idea how strong it was since they don't scale off the films so there are more than ...

Re: is dr slump returns but only for a little while canonical?
I'm not aware of any statement regarding the canonicity of Dr. Slumps Returns For a Little Bit . For what it's worth, the series is written by Takao Koyama and illustrated by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru. Toriyama receives a “Supervisor” (or “Editorial Supervisor”; 監修 or kanshū ) credit. As a point of comp...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread
Well yes, but actually no. Ok, he's universal, no doubt and no argue, but he's not beerus level. Feats wise, all the strongest characters in dbs are stronger than anyone in gt. I mean, people like jiren , kefla and god toppo shakes an infinite space, no one in gt can really replicate that counting ...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread
SS4 Gogeta was said to be dozens of times stronger than an SS4 whom itself was compared to SS vegito. combine that with the filler/films scaling and you pretty much have a solid case that SS4 gogeta > beerus (universal?) Re: is dragon ball technically a spin off of dr slump?
I was more of meaning in the sense of (how can DB GT be a sequel to the canon DB when the DB canon contradict that GT will happen afterwards thus if it were to be canon it would more of a spin off) perplexing? you bet. If you can agree that Dragon Ball GT starts after an event seen in Dragon Ball Z...

Re: is dragon ball technically a spin off of dr slump?
Welcome to the club. But if you are, then you should know how things work and what words mean. Dragon Ball GT is not a spin-off because it clearly doesn't fit its definition (which was posted in this very thread). But it is a sequel to the Dragon Ball anime continuity taking place in another dimens...

Re: is dragon ball technically a spin off of dr slump?
I simply mean all this talk about canon and continuity doesn't matter much in the scheme of things. It's the stories that matter. I believe some place more importance on everything fitting together perfectly than whether the stories themselves are emotionally engaging. I can agree with this. You ei...
