Re: Unpopular DB opinions
I personally don't mind DNR, now don't get me wrong, too much DNR like with the early Orange Bricks is disgusting and something I can't ignore. But the DNR along the lines of the Dragon Ball Blue Bricks, GT Green Bricks, and Steelbooks, are for me harmless, i'd love a proper remaster with the ...

Re: I've got the Dragon Ball Fever.
Similar case with me, I enjoyed the show as a kid and watched whenever I could(which was whenever I visited my grandmothers house with my mom once a week since she had cable and we didn't as it wasn't offered in our area and my parents didn't want to pay for satellite) but for whatever reason I ...

Re: I've got the Dragon Ball Fever.
You best have some deep pockets then. Even if you find all of them, you're basically going to pay the amount they cost when they came out in Japan at this point. Honestly, as mediocre as they are, I'd say wait for the new steel books. It's based on their 30th Anniversary remaster, but at ...

Re: I've got the Dragon Ball Fever.
Gonna need to suffer finding the Dragon Boxes cause I need the original aspect, though if it stays this entertaining, I'm down going through a eBay hunt.

I've got the Dragon Ball Fever.
When I was a kid in the early 2000's, I was quite into DBZ, but never actually saw much of the show. Most my family got was VHS's (Still own a fair few of them, unfortunately all edited varients), 2 DBZ movies, one being The Worlds Strongest Pioneer release and the other being an edited release of ...

Re: Why is it that other anime geet pristine home/anniversary releases, yet the Dragon Ball franchise keeps getting ruin
Indeed, it was really that initial blitz/craze in the late '90s/very early 2000's that was by far the high point of Pokémon's popularity as a franchise over here in the States, and that's including the anime along with the video games, card game and other misc merchandise and if you're ...

Yeah, it seems Dragon Ball has the same problem as Pokemon, where it doesn't matter how quality the product is, it will still sell a lot regardless.
Really dissapointng, but I'll have to get used to it and hunt around for those elusive boxes.

Re: Let's Remaster An Original Film Master Screenshot
I feel like this isn’t said enough, but the tools a fan would use to “remaster” or otherwise touch up a single frame from film as a single image are not the tools that you could would or should use professionally when remastering 24 frames per second (obviously “fewer frames” due to the nature of ...

Re: Let's Remaster An Original Film Master Screenshot
I can see why it'd be a difficult task to remaster a series on the level of the level sets (hah). Being that you'd need to do what you did for every single frame, and all while scaling it to 1080p or more.
But if a single man can make a single frame look amazing, a company can make 291 episodes of ...

Re: If Toei ever announces they'll do a Blu-ray Dragon box
To be brutally honest I wouldn't care if its an SD-BD. I would settle for DBox footage on a Blu-ray, cause selling my kidney for an anime isnt far up on my to do list.

Dragon Ball GT is unironically good to me, sure its a narrative mess and I dont enjoy goku being a kid. But its most likely cause I find really dumb stuff entertaining.

Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?
Bought the entirety of OG Dragon Ball.
The first blue brick for the first 13 episodes in Japanese and uncut. Then the rest being the Saga Sets fot that sweet sweet G R A I N.
If you've never had a Saga Set, its hella grainy.

Re: Dragon Ball Z 4:3 Steelbooks
I'll unfortunately buy them, I'm a new fan of the series and I don't feel like selling my kidney for the Dragon Boxes. Already had to pay a pretty penny for all the Dragon Ball Saga Sets.
Knowing Funimation, having this sell well will at least incentivize 4:3, thats really my only problem with any ...
