Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 101 - Official Discussion Thread
I wonder what Goku says to Vegeta in the original Japanese. "Highlight of your lifetime" is a cute little line but not something I can imagine Super!Goku saying. Would be happy to be proven wrong, though. Always love when Goku gets petty or snarky with Vegeta.

Lack of Dragon Ball on Spotify
Just wondering if it's a license issue considering a lot of other anime have a full soundtrack listed. I was assuming at least the insert songs or the OPs and EDs of the anime and videogames would be listed, but it seems only live versions and covers are.

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions
I was wondering if the series had to permanently kill off characters, I think Vegeta would be the only one I'd kill off, in the Boo arc. He doesn't do enough post-sacrifice or in Super to warrant such a prominent role in the story. His speech about Goku being #1 could have been reworked somewhere be...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Was it ever made clear where Base Goku's strength was meant to be in Super in the end of not? Are we still meant to believe that Base Cabba, Base Caulifla and basically anyone above that is still well above Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks or what? In the manga we have no indications Goku and Vegeta's base f...

With the benefit of hindsight, would you reorder the series' arcs differently?
I was thinking about this the other day because the Zamasu and ToP arcs feel now like very "endgame" arcs that contrast a lot with the smaller scale and narrower scope movies and arcs that followed them. Considering we have now the benefit of retrospective and hindsight, which arcs would y...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
I still think UI Goku in the Moro arc is his strongest version right now. The Granolah arc repeatedly implies Goku can't access the full power (outside of the Avatar state at the very end) of Ultra Instinct because of his internal conflict. "True" UI is just Sign.

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Beast had a lot more trouble handling Max than in the movie. Gohan struggled during the beam clash and needed outside help and he looks exhausted after the fight is over. Considering Max and Piccolo are somewhat relative as well, I'd say it's safe to say Black Freeza is still top dog. I can't imagin...

It looks like there's a scene of Carmine escaping and regrouping at RRP HQ. Red Ribbon arc 4.0 incoming?

Goku letting Vegeta go is a very touching scene
I was watching the Saiyan arc in the anime and when I came to the scene where Goku pleads with Kuririn to let Vegeta go, I found myself tearing up a bit. I began wondering why because it's not typically a scene fans mention when discussing the more emotional and gut -wrenching moments in the series....

Re: A new Budokai Tenkaichi has been announced
Curious about the two Trunks we saw in the trailer. Trunks (sword) and Trunks (no sword) make sense as separate characters but I hope we don't go back to the BT standard of having several versions of the same character. No need to have Z Trunks (sword) and Super Trunks (sword) when a single Trunks c...

Re: If faced with the choice of sacrificing the franchise's massive popularity
What's hilarious is that you throw every post-GT followup in there at the end like it's a tiny side-note. The question of "would you sacrifice most of modern Dragon Ball in exchange for a better preservation and presentation of the original series" is WAY more interesting than a "pop...

Re: Death Battle Goku vs Superman again...again
Should there even be another one? I could've lived without a third one, two same match ups were already enough. Expect any differences in approach? For this match up they confirmed they will consider "everything" for Goku now (Heroes and Xeno(?)) and they're going acknowledge that Superma...

Re: Death Battle Goku vs Superman again...again
I'm guessing they'll use Heroes!Goku this time? Even if it's Super!Goku, he's gotten way stronger since RoF. They should probably also narrow down a specific version of Superman, they used some weird composite in the previous two.

Considering this chapter ends with the Makankosappo, then in all likelihood half of #100 will segway into the next arc.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
So what's next it's gotta be one of four things: 1. New content. 33% chance 2. Hiatus. 33% 3. Adapting Daima. 33% 4. Adapting rof or broly. 1% chance. If Daima gets it's own adaptation by someone other than toyo then obviously the other options have a better shot. I don't see them willingly spoilin...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 98 - Official Discussion Thread
Piccolo is consistently really, really dumb in-universe despite the series trying its best to portray him as the smart tactician of the group. This is just another one of his blunders, no big deal. He's not a great writer. I'm sure he just forgot. He literally wrote that Fused Zamasu wasn't a Kaiosh...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
I don't see why it can't take place after Superhero. Beerus can just go back to sleep for another few months or years, and Goku and Vegeta don't always have to be training with Whis.
