Interesting to note: there's a shot of Son Goku using the Kaiou-ken Blue in the trailer, which means that they won't be removing it to better match Toyotarou's comic. I'm curious how many more instances of Kaiou-ken Blue we'll see, then.

In terms of art, it seems to me like there actually were a ton of redraws. It's crazy how every character looks really on model. In the case of early super that's probably better, even if it is Yamamu-rified ...

Do people reckon we'll get a new official English translation for this version of Super, aka 2uper, or will they recycle an existing translation (Crunchyroll, Simmons) for most of it (as there will be new scenes)?

Don't anime seasons release in 13 or 26 batches of episodes ? If Beerus (6 episodes), Golden Freeza (5 episodes), and Champa (7 episodes) make up 18 episodes, then we theoretically might get the Zamasu arc as a surprise announcement later this year at Jump Festa to round out the remaining 8 ...

Gero's lab would make a cool set. With the Androids being unsealed and a hidden Cell in incubation. I wonder how extensive this theme will be? Will they touch movie material? Will it focus on DBS for the anime revival? I am fairly interested to see what comes of this.

Look, I get the Galactic Patrol announcement, and am totally okay with that. This is just referring to the Super remake/remaster.

I'm not opposed to remaking/remastering Super, and I am very much looking forward to experiencing it again, I just feel as though an OG Dragon Ball remake should have ...

The actual idea of the villain's changing from No.19 + 20 > No.17 + 18 + 16 > Cell is something that I actually don't mind.

The part I don't like is how certain characters are dumbed down or there is some contrived caveat to allow these changes to happen, i.e., the execution isn't really that great.

I would have preferred a focus on expanding the universe out. But I don't hate what we got in the Android & Buu arcs.

For me, reading in color makes whatever is going on a little easier to understand. Especially with manga where everything is so cluttered or detailed.

However, Akira Toriyama is very good with balancing art with negative space. So I often default to B&W. Though, the color is a welcome edition.

I mean, I didn't "grow up" on it. But it was my gateway into the franchise.

It's alright, I guess. I liked the theme for the flashback montage, particularly the jingle when the opening title appears. Also the ambient noise when Gohan does the thing against the big bad. Other than that, nothing really memorable apart from the tracks that were handpicked for the trailers ...

Super Dragon Ball Super Heroes Z

The pacing for the first episodes of DBZ is really good, imo. It definitely slows down in the latter half of the Namek saga. I love Dragon Ball, so it doesn't bother me. But for someone watching it for the first time, it's really going to kill the intrigue.

I'm hearing a lot of hate for the Kai ...

DBZ Episode 28. Goku's arrival is epic. And his dismantling of Nappa is also fun to watch.

DBZ Episode 35. In particular, the scene where Goku pleads Kuririn not to kill Vegeta. It gets me in the feels every time.

DBZ Episode 120. Awesome insert song.

They only ever seem to go up to Episode 46. Here in Australia, "iView" is constantly cycling the same censored episodes. I guess the Future Trunks saga is too dark for child audiences. Oh well.
