Just wondering, has any DB song ever been dub in English by Funimation using the original instrumental before Kai finally did it?

I know that the Blue Water dub of GT used the original instrumental for Dan Dan Kokoro and the English version of “Cha La Head Chala” for the english Filipino dub.

So it's possible that this new video source is the "remaster" that Selecta Visión will release in Spain.

Speaking off old TV airings, I'm actually surprised that FUNimation never put their edited GT episode 1 that's just a recap of the important stuff in the first 15 episodes of the show to speed it along to the Baby Arc as a special feature or something on the Green Bricks.

I don't think anyone would have attempted to re-dub 291 episodes without knowing for sure whether it would be a success or not, it's too risky, especially in a decade like the 00s, when the industry still relied on TV ratings and home video sales.

At most, maybe a distributor would have tried doing ...

Look at the packaging of the DVDs, for example - generally Shueisha isn't named but Toei is.

Funimationa and Crunchyroll pay extremely little. Only rarely higher pay actors just say "Fuck my salary, I wanna do this!" like James Masters or Laura Bailey. I doubt he has enough money to retire.

Buu saga and all GT represent the peak of DB's Latin American dub; they had already done a great job with most of OG and Z, but this is where they really hit their prime.
