I've been starting a collection of the Z Movie Laserdiscs, and there's something that I've noticed.

Since Milkman is waiting for color-corrected footage, what's the status of SoM's color-correction project? How many episodes so far are complete?

I ask because I've seen a few color-corrected pics on their Twitter page, but I'm unsure if they were released.

This is something that I found on eBay. It's a DBZ: TV Series VCD Box Set . It's a 15-disc set of episodes 131-156 in Japanese and Cantonese.

Was able to get the Blu-ray and a web-dl for the streaming version of Movie 01 and they both appear to be of the same quality

One disc each, two movies per disc except #8 ...

I'm not sure if everyone is aware of this, but the first seventeen DB/Z movies are available in HD on Prime Video Japan.

If anyone's interested, I can post screenshots to compare some of them with the Dragon Box DVDs.

Yes. that's where Paikuhan swearing up a storm in movie 12 and Vegeta saying "fuck you, you destroyed my house!" in movie 13 came from.


I wish I could find the subtitles from AnimeLabs for Movies 1-13, but they don't seem to be available anywhere.

I see that subtitle files for AnimeLabs DBZ ep. 23-270 are available for download, but did AnimeLabs also sub the movies? The first time I watched Movie 09 was on a bootleg VHS.

I don't believe there were any LD releases of DB/Z/GT episode wise in Japan or elsewhere, and as far as the former goes the only things available Dragon Ball related on home video was the original three DB films, thirteen DBZ films and the 10th anniversary film on VHS and Laserdisc primarily ...

I hope when Z Recut is done, it doesn't have that many fillers left in. As much as I'd like to see something like Kai with the original soundtrack, I already know it isn't really possible unless you were working with a clean audio channel to cut the scenes.

I'm going to be purchasing the Dragon Box DVDs for DB/Z/GT+Movies, but something that I remember seeing in a post somewhere is that some of the DVDs have a few issues with them such as unfixable video artifacts, etc.

Is this true? If so, what exactly are they and where are they present?
