Re: The [WIP] List of Broadcast Dates for Dragon Ball Z in Finland

So thanks to a lovely lady at the National Library of Finland I was able to learn a few more things about Dragon Ball Z on SubTV.

In addition to the final batch of episodes, which started airing September 18th on Sundays, Saturdays were added on January 7, 2006 .

Dragon Ball Z returned to airing ...

Re: History of Dragon Ball in the UK and Ireland

I have been summoned...

I've got the email addresses for the two heads of Adult Swim UK/Europe, from the meeting I had with them in October, they had no plans to relaunch toonami in uk. That was before TLC was announced to be changing tho, may have changed. they seemed very interested in my idea ...

Re: History of Dragon Ball in the UK and Ireland

Bit offtopic but considering warner bros discovery relaunching tlc as an entertainment channel on freeview channel 12 it would be the perfect time to give toonami a second chance especially as finn arnesen and paul cackett are gone so we could have the grown up toonami cnx was meant to be. I've been ...

Re: Did the Toonami US edit censor Cell absorbing his first victim?

This is the scene I'm referring to .

In the Westwood dub (at least in the recordings that exist) we don't see the victim's face melting but I was wondering was it the same in the Toonami US airings of the FUNimation Dragon Ball Z dub.

Seems like they did keep it but the shortened it. They ...

Re: Celebrating 25 years since Dragon Ball first aired in the UK and Ireland

My brother said they still aired original dragon ball on toonami in sept 05 I didn’t believe him then but now I see it’s been mentioned in the tv guides wow. What a shame toonami pivoted to the Pokemon and beyblade toy anime fad. It’s left me wondering if sky one had managed to keep Pokemon advanced ...

Re: If Toonami is shut down for good

The uk is public service biased so the big American pay tv names cannot fairly compete. There will always be some public service live tv going and the British mentality seems actually to be copy the main 5. I’d say anime on tv here is dead past Pokémon repeats and iplayer.

Re: If Toonami is shut down for good

Problem is crunchyroll they were having no issue when it wasn’t owned by Sony but now they want to keep the content for the site and toonami is becoming increasingly reliant on toonami originals some of which in the case of invincible fight girl were planned for Cartoon Network originally the rest ...

Re: The final Dragon Ball marathon on Toonami UK in 2005

Pretty sure newspapers gonna call it animated adventures in their listing it was just Dragonball z on the sky epg but I don’t know if they used the episode titles in the information box or the generic blurb for the show that had been used in the CNX days for the 1hr blocks.
