Dr. Mew coming back felt so off. His death at the hands of Beby should've been the end of his story. His role doesn't add to anything; you could just have Gero make Hell Fighter No.17 by himself.

The Burdack TV special is iconic simply because people thought Burdack's one-man battle against Freeza and his men was cool and touching. Note "A Final, Solitary Battle" in the subtitle. All by himself, Burdack attempted to avenge his crew and save his race, which struck a chord in viewers.
