I'm in the UK and just got my copy a few days ago. Ordered the Special Edition and got the standard version :(
The game is seriously 'meh'. It's basically just Sparking in high def at 60fps. Nothing really new over the previous versions gameplay-wise to keep me playing. And unlocking the new levels ...

Strange Japanese DBZ fan animation
I came across this completely by accident while searching for something totally unrelated, but thought I would post it as it's about Dragon Ball. Sorry if this is very old news but I had no idea what to search for on the forum to check that it wasn't!

Just got the game this morning (I'm in the UK) I haven't played it yet but I will give it a work out this weekend. One thing I will say in response to all the 'why didn't they add this & that' comments is that they have essentially hit the reset button on the Budokai series for the next gen systems ...

Pre-order from Sideshow now! They distribute a lot of Medicom toys outside of Japan and work with them making replicas sometimes:

Just posted that in the 14 inch Goku figure thread.
It does look really nice, but I don't know if I could justify the price. Maybe because his clothes are made of fabric and he is so poseable? Check out the other pics of him on medicom's site, it looks like he has several different sets of ...

New Goku figure from Medicom
I did a search for 'Medicom' and didn't find anything so I hope this isn't old news.
There is a lovely new Goku figure from popular Japanese toy manufacturer, Medicom coming out this year. He is fully poseable:

Import Sparking Meteor for PS3?
Hi, I was wondering if a Japanese copy of Sparking Meteor would run on my UK PS3? I heard the PS3 has no region lock when it comes to games, but is that only for PS3 games or will PS2 ones work too?
Also is the Wii version superior graphically? Does it run at 60fps for example?
Thanks!

Dodgy translations like "Roshi's Cannon", Lunch becoming "Nancy", and Roshi becoming "Goten", you mean?
Yeah. I've seen them. I only recommend them to anyone who knows Dragonball well enough that they can translate the translations into what they really mean. The funniest I've seen is Spoppobitchi ...

I just got the set myself. I've been watching the full-screen version a lot recently so the widescreen cropping is glaringly apparent to me. I can't notice any 'extra' footage on the sides, it just looks like the 4:3 version zoomed in. Also they said they were cleaning up all the dirt and scratches ...
