Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
No, I know for a fact they do. You can see artefacts of it in dark areas. See: https://slow.pics/c/kH6BObxt Toei's DNR largely relies on motion blurring. What episode is that from? Also, you need to provide other examples in the Dragon Box footage for the claim that the Dragon Box's are motion blur...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Feel free to point out something I'm missing, but to my eye that shot of Krillin from the Black Bricks looks pretty good. Not too sure about the colors though, they look a little saturated. I think some of the BlackBrick episodes looks really nice. And some of them look like total shit. Not sure wh...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Actually... side-bar: could someone with the 30th Black Brick set go in and take a screenshot of that shot of Krillin as it appears in that set, DNR and all? It'd be a FANTASTIC demonstration for what true HD Dragon Ball is supposed to look like when done correctly. Not sure if I hit the same frame...

Re: Color Correcting the Dragon Box - 3 Part Spectacular
I seriously suck at dealing with numbers and reading that page gives me a headache, but thanks anyway. I think that some software do not crop in odd numbers because of 4:2:2/4:2:0 chroma subsampling. I believe that this is exactly correct. In my expierence, I had to alter the color space in order t...

Re: Color Correcting the Dragon Box - 3 Part Spectacular
Why do you resize the image horizontally to cover the black bars? DVD follows the standards of the DV videotape format. It stores video footage in 720x480, which is shown on TV in 10:11 pixel aspect ratio. 704 out of 720 horizontal pixels are actually visualized, so the eight pixels on each side ar...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Hi everybody, I own the 30th anniversary boxset. I wanted to share with you a strange thing, and I search an explanation. It's clear that some episodes have a heavy DNR, that create fade lines like some screenshots proved it. But what is strange is that this not happen all the time : to be honnest,...

Re: How to sync Dragon Box R2J to video
Are you guys including the episode recap in the first half? You should specifically define "Part A and Part B" Also, you are not the only ones to do this. I can't remember who made the following (kei17?) but I have another set of audio sync values. I believe the first value is for the recap. The 2nd...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Is the set as good as the Level Sets? Not a chance. Is it as bad as everyone is bemoaning? Not really. Hate to ask but can you at least say why it's not that bad? I'm only asking for variety sake, as I've found people on this thread who aren't 'bemoaning' generally aren't saying much to back up the...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
The majority of complaints that came out in the past few days has to do more with packaging than video quality. I think the biggest issue here is that FUNI truly has the capacity to release the version almost everyone here wants . They have just chosen not to do so. That's been said since day one, ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
My tracking numbers started working last night. Updated to say delivery on Saturday (I know a few others had a tracking number that had their package in limbo as well). So, I guess there is a little hope.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
So you guys are still waiting on your shipment? If you are in Kentucky, I'm guessing I should get mine about the same time as you (or a day or two after). I didn't create an account to order the damn thing. I was on the fence when I did. The tracking number doesn't work. The customer support page i...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I'd be glad to as soon as it arrives. When I check the tracking number via FedEx, it looks like it's in limbo. Did this happen for the rest of you guys? Thursday , 10/31/2019 9:00 am Shipment information sent to FedEx That's all it shows me except it said the anticipated arrival date was yesterday ...
