Kanzenshuu

This episode was a massive disappointment, the only thing this series has over the movie so far is the stuff with Goku in episode one. I like that they redid Goku’s image training to be more like the manga’s version. Otherwise, there’s some improvement over the Battle of Gods arc of the original ...

Most of the dialogue replacements are for instances where the dub completely rewrites the dialogue, unfortunately not every instance of bad dialogue is replaceable due to a lack of alternative dialogue to replace it with. I’ve also gone out of my way to cut most of the dialogue that is added ...

I also posted this edit on the r/fanedits subreddit, and I’ve received a review of the first arc from one of my viewers already. Link to the original review here.

If you're a fan of Dragon Ball, particularly the OG, you need to see this ASAP.

Every once in a while, someone will try their own ...

Sub version ? Will there be a new HD version using neo-raws and AB?

Yep, it’s got subs. I retimed the stylised subtitles from Seed of Might’s release to match the edits. I might consider a HD version down the line, I haven’t seen Neo-Raws version. That said, I think the Seed of Might version is ...

Yeah, I managed to improve that scene with a combination of dialogue from filler episodes and Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

Dragon Ball Distilled is a fan edit of the original Dragon Ball, inspired by the One Piece fan project One Pace and Dragon Ball Recut by IAmTheMilkman.

While I love the work of the Milkman, I feel that his cut didn’t always go as far as it could have in shaving out the show’s filler. (As of the end ...

The English dub of Dragon Ball also refers to Einstein at least twice in the Pilaf arc. In episode 1, when Goku finally figures out the pterodactyl isn’t Bulma’s friend he says “You’re a regular Einstein!”, and in I think it was episode 4, Bulma smacks Goku over the head after doing his pat pat ...

If Dragon Ball was never dubbed in English, Funimation as we knew it would have never existed, which given that they were such a major player in the English speaking anime industry for decades, would have drastically changed the landscape of the anime industry. Heck, putting aside the anime staples ...

I’ve created a brand new update for this project, with the new version being renamed the “Alone Against Fate” edition. As the name implies, it heavily makes use of dialogue from Kakarot’s Bardock: Alone Against Fate DLC.

I feel that it’s a massive improvement over the previous version, with much ...

The 90s version of Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans was never released outside the Japanese Dragon Box back in 2003, and the 2008 Special got a very limited release in Japan back in 2009 (I think it came with a V-Jump magazine). You can technically download them if you want, but as far as owning them ...

I think if anything needs to happen is one of 2.

1-Readapted Manga
2-FINALLY LETTING DRAGON BALL REST.

If it is not one of these, I dont care.

This is exactly my opinion.

Dragon Ball the comic is timeless and holds up today just as well as it did 30-40 years ago. Dragon Ball the animated ...

Still, it's weird that none of the other characters ever thought to ask, like, "hey, did you have an actual name before you became a Cyborg?", "huh, I don't know, my memories have been wiped", and there you have it, but no.

At what point would they have been able to ask the question? #17 and #18 ...

All of them. It’s time for a new cast in the original productions. We're on the cusp of another anniversary, so they should just do it then.

Honestly, with all the “minis” in Daima being recast with new actors (with the notable exception of Nozawa as Goku), I’m wondering if they were ...

Laura Bailey might play some of the female characters, like Chi-Chi as she played her as a kid in original Dragon Ball instead of Cynthia Cranz.

I very much doubt that Laura Bailey will be in Daima in any capacity, she’s too big a name these days to be a regular supporting character in an anime ...

I'm curious if Toriyama, Torishima (editor/producer), Shueisha, Toei, etc. would APPROVE remake to happen.
Even though Toriyama is no longer with us, I wonder if he signed a contract (or made dying wish/request) with people involved in franchise, NEVER to allow remake to produce.
Toriyama has made ...

Honestly, I would love a Dragon Ball remake. Is the original still good? Yes, of course it is. Could a remake be better? Abso-fucking-lutely. The show is almost 40 years old, there’s a lot of unnecessary filler and padding, animation has come a long way and plenty of other anime have gotten remakes ...

She would presumably use her Goku voice yes. Or more likely her closest approximation that she can remember, she hasn't done the voice professionally since George Bush Jr was in office

Technically, her final performance as Goku was in the early months of the Obama administration. Revenge of ...

Honestly, I think that Clinkenbeard is a great actress and her Gohan is better than Nadolny’s. Especially in the earlier arcs, where I feel that Nadolny’s Gohan sounds older than he should. That said, Nadolny is a better Goku in my opinion, Clinkenbeard’s Goku really doesn’t click with me at all ...

Any chance of us getting an update on this? The idea is really promising, and now you have the DB Kakarot Bardock DLC to pull voicelines from.

Definitely! This is actually something I’m interested in doing an updated version of eventually, but it’s not particularly high on my priority list ...

I’ve actually recently started work on my own edit of the series using the SoM CC. Not all of my cuts are quite as smooth as Milkman’s, I’ve been a little more ambitious about cutting more filler though. All of my episodes are shorter than the equivalent Milkman ones so far. Just finished ...
