You can find the Tankoubon in pretty much every Japanese bookstore in NYC.

Who made the BGM that played while Vegeta turned into a Super Saiyan and the one when Kakarrot goes Super Saiyan 3? Was those songs Japanese? Funi Version or Original Japanese?

I don't think that's an authentic Toriyama sketch. I think that's a sketch/blurb from a doujinshi done by artists Milk and Waya. They've done numerous Yamcha-centered doujins over the years and the art is always excellent. I own quite a few, though not that particular one that I recall.

Saw first airing of Freeza saga on CN in 1999, fan by Piccolo vs Freeza, hooked by Goku vs Freeza. So pretty much by Dec 99/Jan 00 i was hooked on DBZ.

America has "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and that's done some pretty harsh damage to the gay culture.

Also agree that Goku's personality should not have been altered; because that is THE THING keeping me from giving this movie a chance.

As far as I'm concerned Chatwin's just playing some guy who happens to share the same name.

DBZ was popular from 1998/9-2003/4-ish, Pokemon was introduced to the US when Toonami first aired the Freeza saga.

I remember both being extremely popular when i was 13.

I dont know how kids get into DBZ these days with it not being on tv anymore.

I think some of the actors did fantastic jobs at the characters's mannerisms.

Sean Schemmel had Goku's childish side nailed same with Stephany Nadonly

Same with Sonny Straight's Krillin, he got Krillin's mannerisms down flat.
