Hipster answers: Advance Adventure or Attack of the Saiyans, both for being pretty unique compared to most of the games. Had a lot of fun with those ones.

Re: Hikaru Utada's son finds rare pronoun change in Dragon Ball manga
Some of the Japanese fans in the replies pointed out a couple other instances of Toriyama letting an ore slip into Goku's speech instead of ora . Thought you guys might find that interesting.

Re: Toriyama Romanizations: A Visual Guide
Awesome, will update later. Thanks! So I wasn't just imagining things when I made those old notes. Can't believe I missed Goku's pant leg when I was checking all of the title pages recently.
That Jump cover is great! The covers were super small in my source (Daizenshuu #1). Nice to see a rare ...

Re: Toriyama Romanizations: A Visual Guide
Toriyama did spell Gokuu's name as "Goku" a few times.
Y'know, I did have some old notes that listed "Goku" as a Toriyama spelling, but I didn't record the sources. I wasn't able to find anything other than "Gokuh" when I did my research. Do you remember where you saw "Goku"?
On one ...

Re: Toriyama Romanizations: A Visual Guide
Nice job on the recap.
I had seen "Gokuh" on Spaniard magazines from the 90s and early 2000s.
Guess I will have to accept Toriyama's will and type: "Kulilin" from now on...
"Beedel" was a true surprise because according to the old rumor it should be spelled ¨Videl¨ because it comes from ...

These are the typical romanizations used by Bandai , such as "Gokou" instead of Toriyama's "Gokuh." It would be interesting to document all of the spellings used in official products, although it would be a lot more ...

Re: Toriyama Romanizations: A Visual Guide
This is a later edit, the original chapters consistently said "PILAW" .
Interesting. Are you sure this was specifically in Weekly Jump and/or the Japanese tankōbon? I can't find any information online about that. At least, I'm seeing "PILAF" as well in the corresponding anime episode...

It's mentioned that there is a one year time limit, but only in reference to reviving a lot of people at the same time, specifically those killed by Freeza.

Toriyama Romanizations: A Visual Guide
Hey guys! Long time, no talk! I wanted to share with you all a project I've been working on. This is actually something I first started researching approximately 20 years ago , but for whatever reason I never got around to finishing it. I had to start from scratch since I don't have any of the ...

In any case, it was just Karin's guess after seeing about half Goku's power.DanielSSJ wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 1:25 pm Also, small nitpick I know, but I think Karin was just being optimistic when he said Cell was "a bit stronger" than Goku.

2. About Spy Robot
The Spy Robot explicitly states in the manga that it collected cells from Frieza and King Cold, and then stopped collecting data because it had enough. Cell never claims Trunks killed Frieza in his original timeline; the robot data simply confirms Frieza died and then stop to ...

Re: The Z-Senshi barely ever see each other
I've thought about this as well before. Tenshinhan and Chaozu, as far as the manga is concerned, have barely spent any time with Goku in all the years they've know him. Not even a week's' time. Some friends.

Re: Dragonball Back in the Day
I really miss my Sunday nights, watching DBZ in raw Japanese on the International Channel back in the late 90's. I would always look forward to that.
Ditto, except I was watching GT, which made it even more awesome, because I was watching something that wasn't even out in English.

Re: Super Saiyan God Goku's strength compared to Beerus?
I'd just like to point out that the "Yamcha" spelling has been used in Japan prior to FUNimation's English dub even existing. Hell, Toriyama has spelled it that way. Check Daizenshuu 1.VegettoEX wrote:"Yamcha" and "Krillin" are at least FUNimation English dub names.
