Little bump here, I'm considering buying some of the old Funimation DVD singles on ebay but I see that in many cases some of the discs are reflective and some of them are not. Is this normal? Are both legit? Here's an example:

Terrible news. So sorry to see this.

Re: Super or GT poll
I used to loathe GT. But now I have a certain fondness for it. I prefer the animation style, it's ending is emotional and the series as a whole has the nostalgia factor for me now.
I see Super is winning the vote though. Clearly there is massive voter fraud at play here.

Re: Manga UK Releasing DBZ Blu-Rays and Steelbooks
So is this release just the orange brick footage with all its flaws, but in 4:3? I have the Dragon Boxes, but I still have nostalgia for the Funimation soundtrack and can't bring myself to buy any of the crap that's out there. Unless this is closer to Dbox quality then the old 00s singles are ...

Re: What is the General Consensus for Super?
I don't really like it. I don't think they should have stuck so rigidly to the script of the movie. BOG should have just been a general outline.
They could have kept Beerus and Whis, and Super Saiyan God, but found a completely different way of using them. But the way the BOG story has been ...

Re: Super retelling BOG and ROF
I was disappointed when I first heard Super would be a retelling. The slice-of-life episodes were cool. But after watching the most recent episodes it seems like it wasn't the best idea to try and drag a movie out into a series of episodes. All you can really do is add content that just feels like ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Animation Staff Discussion
I thought people might have been exaggerating about how poor the animation was at times. I watched the fifth episode and pretty much all of the fighting looked atrocious. One part in particular stood out to me as especially bad:

Re: The Twelve Universes
I know it's part of Dragonball, but like I said, it's something I'm tired of. The 12 universes remark just felt like the writer was like: "How about there's now 2 universes...no 5 universes...no 12 universes! Yeah, 12 universes will get us a few more movies." It just a crappy reason for more random ...

Re: The Twelve Universes
Just randomly saying there are 12 universes kind of feels like a cheap way to make more movies. I'm tired of the sort of "rewriting of history" all the time. Someone is the strongest in the universe, until suddenly the North Kai remembers that someone else is the strongest.

I never liked that Picolo regenerated after Krillin destroyed him as a statue. Freeza shooting him the chest almost kills him, but smashing him into bits doesn't affect him at all.

Re: Have you ever lost interest in the franchise?
My interest is definitely at an all time low. I rarely look at the forum anymore. As others have said, at this point I've already given my opinion multiple times on anything I've had an interest in. And I don't have any questions about the storyline/characters, they've all been answered over the ...

Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
It's fairly obvious since he scalps for dragon boxes so he can make a quick buck out of them. As dballfan stated, he had an auction recently go for $180. There was a photo he had where he had a bed filled with boxes, he buys them in bulk to sell them for high prices. I just find it incredibly ...

How do you know he got one?
In any case I just hope that some of the people who actually need these finally take advantage of this now.

This guy has a few Dragon Box 4's for a relatively fair price:

I got Dragon Box 2 in the post today. I bought it on ebay about a week ago for $70, new and sealed. Considering the outrageous prices these days I 'd say I got pretty lucky.
