Re: Dragon Ball Z "Season One" Coming To Blu-Ray (Updated 10

Nothing says "elite team of super geniuses" quite like cropping a 4:3 show for a 16:9 release. It does actually, when you consider how well the Orange Bricks sold, and still sell. It takes a very intelligent person to come up with such a horrible concept, and then market it so, so well. Meanwhile, ...

Re: Dragon Ball Z "Season One" Coming To Blu-Ray (Updated 10

@AjayLikesGaming: "You can't put that blame solely on the consumer. [...]" That's kind of the thing, though, we can actually place the blame on consumers because we aren't actually talking about the average consumer. Funimation wouldn't waste money investing on a high quality remaster for an audienc...

Re: Dragon Ball Z "Season One" Coming To Blu-Ray (Updated 10

@ultimateemail5000: "You know, I just don't get it, like everyone else on this forum. Yeah there is a fanbase out there that doesn't understand. Even if you try explaining it to them, they still don't get it and it really pisses me off in so many directions." ...And like everyone else in this thread...

Re: ...Kanzenshuu...

I am quite sure that if you search for it, you will find one, and which would allow you to fully incorporate your site and forum. And the thing is, SMF is very friendly to the installation of mods, you enter in the admin panel, click in the mods sections, upload a ZIP file and it will install for y...

Re: Welcome to Integrated-Kanzenshuu!

Isn't the idea that only members of the Kanzenshuu community would be able to edit the wiki? As I understand it, that's the main reason Mike wanted the accounts to all be linked together. It gives us a greater control over what goes into the wiki and should limit abuse. It definitely would yield gr...

Re: Welcome to Integrated-Kanzenshuu!

I'm not scared. Even if they do attack us or constantly try to change pages I'm sure we'll survive and will be vigilant and undo all the damage in no time. I wouldn't get too cocky, if anything happens the responsibility of making it right will fall to our dear Heath, and already we know he's overw...

Re: ...Kanzenshuu...

It looks like the old threads still work, shouldn't be hard to create a redirect for any old links to the new domain. Realistically, I figure there's probably a couple of reasons why we wouldn't want to keep the old forum running now that everything is launched and settling into place, so I've take...

Re: ...Kanzenshuu...

I would not recommend phpBB because it is not very efficient or reliable. There are other free forums softwares like Simple Machines which offer a lot more possibilities. Of course boths works, just like Internet Explorer and Firefox. And nowadays there is plenty of solutions to convert the softwar...

Re: ...Kanzenshuu...

I am a little disappointed the forum still uses phpBB. Setting aside what our personal preferences are regarding forum software (personally, I've never been a phpBB fan, but it does work as intended after all) and in all fairness, the DaizEX forums were started on phpBB, and unless otherwise stated...

Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai Volume 1 Discussion

@Treklin Unfortunately your ally Blue, yeah, he was being sarcastic. I think he was making fun of you. And frankly, you'll be swapping discs the same number of times regardless, what does it matter if your second disc has lesser content? If the option were presented to you, do you seriously think yo...

Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai Volume 1 Discussion

@Dragondyle: Unfortunately, you've fallen into the very same pitfall as our friend Mr. 100 there. Here's the breakdown: - Less is, as previously said by our buddy bkev, still more. - There's a lot to be said about coherence in design. - Bullshit should be avoided. I was going to to type an overly lo...

Re: No code

No, Kaboom, just no. No pointlessly nesting list tags. Instead, enjoy the new alignment bbtag I've implemented which should do the job well. And don't abuse it. Of course, I do generically agree with Hujio, that being able to center text is mostly inconsequential, but it was easy enough to implement...

Re: FUNimation Announces "Kai" License ("DBZ Kai")

@Kendamu: So, rather than engage rational discourse you're going to play the "you can't convince me" card and shut the door on it? Smooth. But I'll be damned if that beats me. Okay now, so you feel that it's 'completely different' and 'fresh' and that automatically makes it as such? You do realize t...

@SHINOBI-03: Well, now you have me curious about the context by which you've experienced this quirk. Has it been dramatic, logging you out while you're surfing the forum and only staying logged in for a short period of time, or more of a long-term thing, where you've left the site idle in your brow...

Re: Changes Coming...

@Mike: Well, that's the nudge. It was made in another time, you might say, when standards weren't as strict as they are today, of course there's also something of a disparity today, where you're able to more or less go with loose standards compliance or strict compliance and be all good in the hood...

Re: Changes Coming...

@Bussani: I mean all links. Even if it looks like a button, unless it uses no anchor tag (i.e. <a>) it will open in a new window. Now, by comparison, if I were to go and modify phpBB directly; the way it handles links is such that no links within posts would be effected from prior to the modificati...

Re: Welcome to the upgrade! 2010 is the year we make contact!

@dragondyle: Well, I'd like to say that I have a definitive solution for you, but I don't. But at a guess, I'd imagine it had something to do with old session data and new session data, where the two didn't match, and the software was attempting to preserve the old, thus running into a conflict hea...

@Bussani: Oddly, yes. I noticed it after replying but almost no posts had it, so I thought it was something specific to posts of a particular status. @Everybody & Mike: Hey folks, and in particular the ones interested in links opening as new windows/tabs, and especially Mike, I've got a solution in...

Ya'll are giving me too much credit... I didn't actually do anything. No seriously, if you're noticing things that mesh with your request, its a coincidence. Since I haven't done anything in the last few days (well, that's only partially true. I had to fix registration twice, when stuff broke. But t...

@sangofe: If Mike wants that, Mike can have that. For now, though, there's always right clicking (or, if you're awesome and configured your settings properly, middle clicking.) @Bussani: Technically, there already is something like that implemented by default. Its that section of the display that s...
