Changes Coming...

Just letting everyone know there are still a few forum changes coming.

Daizex logo will, obviously, be added.

We are trying to get the various messenger buttons to appear in thread, for the moment you need to go to the users profile page to view them.

Few other things, but just making mention of those.


And oh yes, I changed my username.

Is making the Navigation Menu slightly bigger on whatever list you may or may not have made of things to do?

Part of the thing to remember...

(And this is just my understanding, it may be wrong.) The phpbb3 version of the old theme 'subsilver' appears to simply exist as way to ease the transition, it is no longer the 'official' phpbb theme. It seems to have a few changes in it that may have been made as a way to 'nudge' people to the new theme.

Regardless, it will be looked at.

It isn't really that large... in fact, it is smaller than the font for the link you have in your signature.

I do have a minor inquiry--on the old board, the clean-up crew members had a nifty looking green color to signify their status. Incidentally, I also notice the group marked at the active user list section has a "global moderators" bit which I reckon is kind of what it was before. Is this going to be re-applied at all or is it just being left as-is?

Some of the smilies don't exist in the current theme, we will attempt to shoehorn them in.

As for BBCode, no idea, but I'll let lost know.

probably should have mentioned how to setup putting your Twitter on Daizex.

'points up top' Click "User Control Panel."
In the control panel, on the left side, click "Profile."
On this page, it will be right above where you put in your web address, and below where you can put in all your other messengers. Simply put in your Twitter username.

That is all you need to do to activate the feature if you want it.

I've attempted to look into your issue, but there is a problem in that you've been woefully vague as to the details. Noting this, I simply called up your latest post in that section, assuming that you concluded a problem existed when your list became fucked. Well, I decided I would look a little deeper and noted two interesting things: 1.) Your list was fucked to begin with. 2.) You'd actually ticked "Disable BBCode" on the optional per-post settings.

Now, assuming this was indeed the thrust of your concern on the BBCode front, it should be noted that ticking "Disable BBCode" will prevent them from actually working. And in the creation of a list, you'll need to use both the [list] tags, and the [*] tags.

I.e.

[list]
[*] Item 1
[*] Item 2
[/list]

Otherwise it wont quite work.

Of course, if I've completely misinterpreted your meaning, I invite you to readdress the matter, but this time please clarify your concerns a little better, so that I am aware what isn't working and I can figure out why. Just saying some BBCode is missing wont do a lot of good for me trying to restore it.

One thing I've noticed is that when you click on an offsite link, it loads in the parent window rather than a new window or tab. Is there anyway that can be changed? I keep closing the tab, and then realizing that was actually the forum tab too. Other than that, this is gonna take some getting used to.
