Re: Dragon Ball in Greece and Cyprus

They offered Greece an edited version of the original Japanese version that has the same cut scenes as the dubs that used the French dub as basis for all episodes like the European Portugue...

Re: How many territories still air original Dragon Ball or have relatively recently?
I just checked their schedule, and it looks like they don't air it anymore . I just checked my spreadsheet and it seems you are correct that they did air it around 2019, which is nice as its not that long ago all things considered. First of all, this is not the Smile TV of Cyprus. Here is where you...

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Greece
Today during The Comic Con 8 - Thessaloniki Comic Convention, Digital Soul Entertainment showed the full trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
First they showed the trailer with voice filters just for trolling and then the actual one.

This is from Kai. The one who made the video just put Bruce Faulconer's music over that scene.Dragon Ball Ireland wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 10:02 am Also say what you will about Sean Schemmel but even in the original Z dub his screams were insane.

Favourite screams from various dubs
Here are some screams that come to my mind quickly... maybe I'll remember more later. - Goku's scream (Mario Castañeda) from the Latin American dub of episode 127 of Dragon Ball Z and episode 5 of Dragon Ball Super. https://youtu.be/gudwxQI7zyc?t=61 https://youtu.be/eL6yJASrsr8?t=9 - Vegeta's scream...

Re: The "power" of the German dub
The Greek dub of OG Dragon Ball started airing on ANT1 in 1995. Shortly after, the episodes were playing on ANT1 Cyprus as well. I know that was my point, although I should have specified it being the first European dub to be based on the Japanese version other than the Junior TV dub, which premier...

Oh, and as I had mentioned above she voiced Frieza in DBGT as well.
Eric Legrand also voices Vegito in Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters.

Re: The "power" of the German dub
What about the Greek dub? I believe other than the Junior TV Italian dub it the earliest dub of original Dragon Ball (and to a lesser extent Z, which mixes in elements of the Latin American and French dubs) to be based on the Japanese version. The Greek dub of OG Dragon Ball started airing on ANT1 ...

Dubs where Goku was voiced by the same voice actor in both kid & adult stages: • French ( Brigette Lecordier*) It's Brigitte. :P Dubs where Freeza was voiced by a woman: • Greek (Matina Karra* / Emi Stylianidou**) * Only in Z. * Movie 5 and TV Special 1. Movie 12 (Fusion Reborn) as well. Dubs w...

Re: The "power" of the German dub
Interesting, although I think the most important (and not only for Europe) of the European dubbings was the French one for many different reasons, no matter how problematic it was.

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Greece
I never heard her before. I stopped watching Greek DBZ right around Goku 'killing' Frieza on Namek. When did she voice Krillin? Re: Dragon Ball Super in Greece
Someone from the cast said that they contacted Themis Psihogios as well but he wasn't in Athens to record for this movie and so they picked Giorgos Mataragas instead. She doesn't ... sound the same. Then again, it's been 20 years. She? Are you referring to Maria Plakidi? She still sounds fine to me...
