It looks like they are branding each arc as its own sub-franchise within Super. I'd love to see remakes of all of them, especially if they clean things up and use elements from Toriyama's original drafts. There's room for opportunity in every arc.

I think Dragon Ball does a pretty thorough job of answering this question, and yes it's Son Goku. Look no further than the Future Trunks timeline, which loses its Goku and is then later completely wiped from existence by Zeno in Dragon Ball Super.

Hmm, the addition of Trunks could have almost been great if they had included his up-to-date DBS appearance first and foremost rather than his outdated look from the 90s, or at least both available as different styles.
Especially when Goku Black is already on the roster as his opponent.

Just a heads up, if you missed any of the previous Dragon Ball drops in Fortnite, all 12 skins and their associated gear items are in the item shop until August 16th.

They do rotate back in periodically but it'll probably be a couple months before they come back again.

Maybe Trunks is being kept secret and will appear with them, but if so he probably would have appeared in the files that were data mined. The silver lining is that since these skins have the Z designs, there's a chance Trunks will too whenever they add him.
