Definitely looks like the real deal to me as well...and it even looks like it is the updated version of the DVD, with the two extra episodes. From what I remember, that menu was used for both of the Trunks DVD's.

For the Kai releases, I haven't really seen any retailer that uses "Season 1" on the description. Nor does it say that on the DVD/Blu-ray covers. It would be strange for them to discontinue Part 1, but stranger things have happened with this company.

I understand your point now...I guess they figured that most people who can understand English, don't want to see the actual words on the screen at the same time haha...although, it is useful to have them, in the event something is wrong with your ability to hear the audio clearly

regarding your 4th point, I'm pretty sure that you can have the English translation subtitles on the screen with the English Dub, to compare script accuracy...I noticed that you can do this with the remastered sets, but I'll have to check again...it's very useful if you want to see how inaccurate ...

Not sure...Season One didn't seem to have the problem, and nor does the double feature with the TV specials. Knowing their track record, it's very easy to place the blame on FUNimation. I'm pretty sure that on the original releases for the episodes, the audio was synced properly with the animation ...

Yeah, it's very annoying when you know exactly how the opening should be, and then you see that the music and animation aren't lined up correctly. At least they have all the voice acting synced up!
