Season 1 Part 1 Discontinued?

I heard a rumor that FUNimation is discontinuing their "Season 1 Part 1" release. Is there any truth to this? I can find nothing to suggest that there is, but I figured I would ask.

As in Dragon Ball Kai? I really doubt that's true. Where did you hear that from? That wouldn't even make sense unless they were going ahead and releasing boxed-sets from now on. Otherwise, the likelihood of that happening is very, very, extremely low.

Agreed. If anything with a Season 1 would get canceled, it'd be the Season Sets or the Dragon Box (due to low interest; which I hope isn't the case. Others need to experience the awesomeness of the Dragon Box).

I'm pretty sure the Dragon Boxes are already starting to be discontinued due to a "limited release." Then again, they were released a year ago and... well anyway, I love my precious Dragon Boxes lol I highly doubt Kai is getting discontinued though. With the show being on two channels and reruns and whatnot, there is still a very high interest in the show. Plus it's very new. So I don't think you need to worry about it. But is it really "Season One Part One?" So when's Season Two supposed to be, when Trunks arrives? It's just Part One now right?

Yeah. I've been getting them, have 1-3; asked for 4 (Dragon Box) for this Christmas.

The numbering they're using makes no sense. I would've started Season 2 (Part 1) with Volume 3. Then the next one coming out should be Season 2 Part 2.

Ah, well. They're just numbering techniques FUNimation are using; wouldn't pay that much attention to them. Haha, watch the whole series be just "Season 1" Part [X].

For the Kai releases, I haven't really seen any retailer that uses "Season 1" on the description. Nor does it say that on the DVD/Blu-ray covers. It would be strange for them to discontinue Part 1, but stranger things have happened with this company.

I think they split it up into 3 seasons,
For example:
Season 1 = Saiyan/Freeza Arc
Season 2 = Cell Arc
Season 3 = Majin Buu Arc

You know, that's possible. Because under the title and above the "Part," there is one star. I really hope that's just a "design" though.

I was at FYE eariler today, they had Part 2 and Part 3, put they didn't have Part 1, I also went into Best Buy and they didn't have Part 1 ether.

That doesn't mean that those are discontinued, just that they didn't order any more. When the Season Sets were the only things that were coming out that were DBZ related, I'd walk into a store and only see like three out of seven (at the time) releases. Doesn't mean they were discontinued.

As far as I can tell there is nothing about seasons being in any part of Z KAI. Just look at the official FUNimation site and look at the packaging itself. All that displayed is that they are parts, not seasons what so ever. Its only a lot site's selling these that title them in such way for no reason at all.
