I agree with what you said about Vegeta being able to transform, and also about Gohan being "iffy". If Toriyama had done what he intended and left Goku dead, with Gohan being earth's defender, then I would have felt his transformation was justified.

I don't know how to break it to you... but Dragon Ball & Dragon Ball Z are "kids' shows." It's OK to watch a cartoon, but don't try to justify it by pretending that it's some kind of mature, deep work of particular cultural significance... Just embrace it for what it is and be free enough to not be ...

Anyway, yeah this totally happened to me at a Charity store. they had DBZ VHS Tapes in the kids items for 20 Pence each (STEAL!). It was among such Tapes as Balamory, and Postman Pat.

I have to agree with the French actors part. Dutch actors is very unlikely as you can always hear it when a Dutch person is speaking English.

I had read on some other forum where one user was complaining because it's always labelled as the "UK dub", and he said that they were most likely dubbed ...

Yep, that's true... ALL of it. they also dubbed around 30 or so episodes of Z.

I have to say, the voices are pretty damn good. but theres one thing that always bugged me about these dubs is that they don't seem to put spaces in between words.

Sounds like a good idea.
I would like to read these as I am still yet to see the Japanese version, it just simply hasn't ever fell into my path. Although I do own the Manga, and that is pretty faithful.
Also, when I review something, I like to rate out of 100. It just gives a more precise score is ...
